USA made golf clothing

I looked around and saw nothing close to this kind of thread. I'm one of those goofy people who tries to buy as much as I can that is made in America, but I also understand that golf is an industry where mostly everything is made in Japan or China. I've had a hard time finding companies that make golf attire in America. So I'm here to find some suggestions for companies or even clothing lines that would fit this bill.

I don't think there is anything goofy about buying American made. Go for it and let us know what you find.

I used to buy Criquet cotton polos from Austin TX, but most of their shirts are now imported from Peru.  I prefer cotton over the "performance" shirts made from plastic.

Akwa.com is another site I found and Alan you would like that I found nothing moister whicking and all cotton. I cannot find specific golf pants or shorts but I can find American made cotton or twill pants by Orvis and Bonobos. I think 5 hours of searching was enough I will see if anyone else knows of any.

I used to be like Kenny and only wanted a cotton shirt. We'll I've changed. Several years ago I even gave away my first few plastic shirts. Now I don't like wearing cotton on the golf course. Cotton absorbs moisture and cotton gets clammy and uncomfortable to me. I now like the :plastic" shirts much better as they wick moisture and don't absorb it either. I say cool and fresh as a daisy. :)

I think it might make a difference where you live.  Hot and humid, the plastic shirts probably work better because of the wicking.  You are going to be wet no matter what.  Hot and dry, cotton keeps me cooler and the shirt is never wet.  The performance shirts seem to keep body heat in and I get overheated.

It gets very humid in Pennsylvania in the summer so moister wicking is nice. The spring it's not bad so I can wear cotton. I like to wear summer weight golf pants most rounds because I get poison easily and I feel safer wearing pants but on hot days shorts are a must.

A new company out of the Boston area is producing work wear that is entirely made in the US.  I purchased a pair of the lightweight "shop pant" and found that they're the most comfortable pants I've ever worn on the golf course.  The pants are water repellant, two-way stretch, look good, are virtually indestructible, well-pocketed, and cool in warm weather.  They're made from a new fabric called "tweave" and the company is called 1620usa.com.  Well worth checking out.

I just wished I found more good golf clothing in "fluffy" sizes....hard to find shirts larger than a 2x and pants or shorts bigger than a 42!

I also love when somebody from the Midwest complains about humidity...lol, come down here and play on the Texas coast during the summer and you'll learn what humidity is!

Sorry for the hijack B)

I just bought some shorts made by originmaine.com. I am hoping that I can use them as golf shorts also and they make other clothing nothing specifically for golf but everything made in Maine. I know I like to revive old threads every once in a while.

New here, but I would so LOVE to find somewhere in the US that produces Loudmouth/Hreski style pants. Both are made in China and even though I love the designs, I am having a harder time supporting the products. I would happily pay MORE to get something made in the USA.
