I love me a good pimento cheese sandwich!  Nice smooth spread of mayonnaise on my bread and some real home style pimento cheese.  It'll make ya slap ya momma !

Homemade? Grilled pimento cheese on whole grain. Have to cook it with a little butter and melt some extra sharp cheddar on the outside so it crusts up just right and has the proper crunch. Pimento cheese is either homemade or the brand Palmetto Cheese (with jalapeños).

The kitchen at my work has weekly specials. All kinds of interesting combinations. Haven't had a bad one in the 3 months they've been doing it. If I had to pick one, it would probably be "The Godfather" - Roast beef, pickles, mayo and horseradish mustard on a kaiser bun... Mouths watering just typing this post up!! Lol

it's fantastic.  The Chain is mostly in Florida (orlando) I have heard they may branch out nationally, if so my scale will not be happy.   This is the next best sandwhich there in my opinon.  They call it Holiday Turkey, I call it Thanksgiving Dinner on a Roll!!  HA

Just to let you in on a secret, you know their crab-cakes are like 80% filler don't you.   They have perpetuated a myth into a local legend.  if you want a true lump crab sandwich, you shuold try Corner Stable in Kings Contrivance!!   No comparison between the two IMHO.

For me, its the Virginia styled pulled pork BBQ sandwich.   However, unlike many of my fellow Virginians, I do not put slaw on  it.    It should be remembered that BBQing is a process,  merely pouring a sauce over meat does not make it BBQ.

Yeah, well that comes from an ex employee...so I don't know how much of it is fact and how much was disgruntled ex employee talk, but he was not one to really talk bad bout them as a whole, but I think over time they started cutting some corners to save money and taking advantage of their reputation from what he said. 

For me, its the Virginia styled pulled pork BBQ sandwich.   However, unlike many of my fellow Virginians, I do not put slaw on  it.    It should be remembered that BBQing is a process,  merely pouring a sauce over meat does not make it BBQ.  

I'm sorry, as a die in the wool Carolinian,  we can no longer be friends if you're going to use Virgina and BBQ (without coleslaw...none the less) in the same sentence.

There is another chain the does one and it is fresh roasted turkey with all the trimmings on a roll.  If you ever find a Capriotti's do yourself a favor and give one a try.....awesome sandwich.

I used to really like Cousins Subs. Went to one in Milwaukee and the place smelled like feet. Made me a little sad.

 

Oh man! I forgot about Cormacks Deli back home in Petoskey. They have about 40 different sandwiches. The best in the state! And the East Town Deli in Grand Rapids.

 

I need a sandwich. All they have are pastys up here.
