No problem. They added it this year because people were cheesing last year and stopping at the top to trick the system

Is there any reason to use different types of bag setups. There are three options standard, player and tour. JLukes which one should I use. I didn't know if maybe conditions were tougher with each setup or not. Thanks in advance.

I feel like my game really took off after I started using the tour clubs and just trying to swing more smoothly (pausing at the top, which is my same problem in real life believe it or not). Putting and the short game is sometimes the most difficult part and the type of clubs have the least impact there. 

 

I can then get the extra distance out of them while still maintaining some good control. I do have some approach iron issues sometimes though.

I switched to the players one - they give you more distance at the cost of accuracy as you go from normal to tour

Tour will give you most distance but you need to be more precise with your tempo and stick accuracy.

 

I've worked at it enough where now I'm comfortable with tour clubs.

That's what I figured it's causing me lots of problems lol

I feel like I have no concept of wind in this game. Sometimes it will move my ball a mile, sometimes it seems to be fake wind

 

I was 2 under at one point. Then put up a quad bogey and the rest of the round was struggle city.

Did you check your lie? If your on a slope it will counter the wind.

I play it off and on. Hb Studios (the developers) were really handcuffed by their publishers on this game and were not allowed to update the game like they wanted. They have since terminated their relationship with the publisher and will be releasing The Golf Club 2019 this fall.

 

They had to use do a new release because the publisher still owns rights to the current game and they still wouldn't let Hb studios update their game.

 

Looking forward to the new game where hb isn't held hostage by a publisher

I will have to keep an eye out for TGC 2019.  I am late to the party but I just picked up TGC2 last week.  Reading through the thread apparently I am in a rare group being on the Xbox side. 

 

It is a shame about the relationship between HB and the publisher, TGC2 has been a pretty fun game.  Frustrating at times but still a fun game.  Hopefully 2019 will rectify some of the issues and build off of TGC2. 

 

I started working on creating my home course, but it will be a while before I come close to finishing the entire course.
