They'll come down. Just keep an eye out.

 

Already at $299.00 from $399.00, I'd say that's pretty good. Late fall they'll come down again.

Make sure you hit the regular G, I thought the LS Tec would be best for me, but I was wrong. Might fit you though. Give them a whack!

 

If I can get the G400 3 Crossover bent to 16°-17°... oh man.

 

This release has been amazing. If you like PING.

I've gamed the G2, Rapture and G30. I went for a fitting last year and spent $100 and could not replace my G30 with anything on the market at that time. So I'm excited about the new driver offering.

 

I'd also like to game a set of Ping Irons again while I still have some game left in me. Perhaps this might be the one. I fit the profile, older guy, trying to hang on.

 

The nice thing is that I don't have to change driver or irons. I hit both well so I can be patient.

 

Very exciting release IMO

The Crossovers are making my utility iron fascination cells tingle. The looks are a lot better than the prior model.

I am just going to mention one more thing. Their releases are at least 2 years apart, and the stuff isn't outdated at all. Releasing stuff every year like the other OEM's is nonsense, if you can't stand behind your tech for at least 2 seasons...

I'm in Michigan for work and I've booked a fitting at Miles Of Golf where I did my fitting a couple years back. Best fitter I've ever been to: all of the heads/shafts, computer/video tracking, and one hits out on to a range!!! They have the G400 series available for fittings TODAY! I didn't bring my clubs, but I'll have them build what my driver is and go from there! Gonna try em ALL!!! I have a feeling I won't see enough improvement to warrant a change, but, DANG, if it isn't going to be fun to TRY!!!!

I've tried the G and that stuff fades a bit when you are 6' away from it. Or however tall you are.

 

You're right! That becu set with the new stuff... maybe they'll take your idea and do a "becu" line of iBlades.... ok, now that just gave me the chills. That would look so. Damn. Good!

So I just finished a range session with the G400 irons --- 

 

Oh. My. Gawd.

 

I have them with a KBS C Taper (hit them with the stock shaft in AZ and they spun WAY too much) and all I can say is WOW!  Super easy to hit and they are pretty long -- long irons are seriously easy to get airborne and give some pretty solid  distance. 8-9-W were similar in distance - maybe a touch longer - but launched VERY high and landed VERY soft.

 

Darn near everything was a nice little draw due to the offset, but I was fascinated with how easy these are to swing and to actually flight - when I wanted to hit it really high I could, if I wanted to flight it down a little I could do that too. Didn't try to fade anything but then again I'm not the greatest "worker" of the ball.  

 

Will need to put some midsize grips on them and will get them out on the course this week, but so far, WOW!

I am interested in the irons. I am looking to move away from the player style iron and towards a more forgiving club. So these will definitely go on the testing list. I haven't played ping irons before so it will be interesting to see which of their lines best fit me.
