Yea but I don't snuggle up well at night  :D .    Ya'll will have blast!

LOL...A very valid point!!

She went last year.  I was hoping it would be a one time,, been there done that thing for her and she wouldn't care to go back.  But she's pretty excited about it as well.  She loves seeing all the exhibits (she doesn't golf) and of course getting a sneak peak at what's coming from all the apparel companies doesn't hurt.  She spent a lot of time in the fitness zone watching some of the stage demo's and talks, while I went to my appointments.

Then of course we do Disney the day before it begins, as we both love the Magic Kingdom.

So I just finished a range session with the G400 irons ---    Oh. My. Gawd.   I have them with a KBS C Taper (hit them with the stock shaft in AZ and they spun WAY too much) and all I can say is W

Yeah, and if you had been able to make that flight from Chicago to West Palm a couple years ago, you would have seen that is anything but the case.

But to the drivers, I prefer to try it in the warm Florida air in a couple weeks with a full assortment of shafts and heads.  if I tired it around here now, I'm afraid every frozen bone in my body would break into pieces with this sub zero windchill!!

Won't really be playing it until March or April anyway most likely, so might as well wait and get fit for the right make up.   But everything I'm reading about this, just sounds like it's one of the best drivers in years to come along.

And the great thing about that, is it's not coming from PING, it's coming from actual players like you and me!!

Yeah, well life happens. Gotta look forward to the future

I have no idea if the Ping will be a great fit for you, but I definitely can say it's been incredible for me. No doubt. Forgiveness and distance has been great. I hope it's the same for you.

Yep, the future is bright especially with MGS!!

I think it will be good for me, just finding out which shaft and head combo works best.  The G30 I have right now is possibly the straightest driver I've ever played, right there with the Srixon 565 in that regard.   Not crazy about the loud sound, but it's not something I would get rid of the driver for.   But very anxious to try the 400 with both shafts and heads.

Yeah I loved the G30 direction. Right down the middle. But this G400 is super forgiving.... And the dispersion has been fantastic for me. My dad just keeps saying "That thing is illegal" when we play.

Oh and the sound is probably my favorite part. You'll love that. Just a solid sound. But that's what a sound lab can do for you!

Yeah, that in addition to the forgiveness are the two overriding things I keep hearing about the driver.

Anyone not anymore dang autocorrect. The reason I don't carry a 3 or 4 iron is my swing speed doesn't allow for a drastic difference in distance once I get past the 5 iron. I am thinking Mid to High ball flight.

Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

Do you mind elaborating on what your distances were on the 3i and 4i? I just bought a few new clubs last month and am trying to get some better gaps on the lower end with my wedges, which forced me to give up a club at the other end. I had Ping G5 irons for 10 years and was successful with them, but bought the Ping E1 3i through UW a year ago. I also bought a 56 deg Ping glide. The best part of my overhaul was the a G30 10.5 stiff that was a game changer for me. I end up the season not hitting my 3i very well, which was never an issue with the G5. I also noticed that I was not doing well from 30 yards to 80 yards out. I decided to set my 3i and 4i aside and buy a G30 4h to go along with my 3h. I also have a 3w. Since the weather has been bad in Ohio, I have not been able to try out my new clubs. I can only speculate.

Saw on Golf Spy T's twitter feed this morning that there is a G400 Max on the USGA conforming clubs list.

I wonder what market this will be targeted at.

It's on the blog home page now.   No information from PING on it yet, just added to the USGA Conforming list.  Probably will be a PGA Show release along with the G700 irons?

I made the comment on blog, I imagine, probably a higher launch with the added weight in the back, with some offset.  Although I think the G400 SFT has the offset part already doesn't it?  Possibly coupled with a higher launching shaft than the standard G400's come with.
