Dr Strangelove
I am thinking of reshafting a set of Titleist 714 AP1s with Ping AWT 2.0 shafts. For whatever reason, these pulls appear available real cheap. And if I'm understanding the concept of AWT, it's along the lines of aligning by MOI rather than swing weight. Starting to sound real good right now. What do you think? I have no idea how these shafts play. "Bums clothes" don't bother me. Jmikecpa
I am not as familiar with the Ping shaft as I am with the TT version but should be okay I would guess. The idea of these types of shafts is that the weight decrease as the irons get longer and have a change in balance point by shaft to keep the swing weight on point. I switched to the AMTs this year and pleased with the results. Now that I am just north of 40 it is getting harder to mange X100s in my irons.
