If you're interested in adding/removing grips with air this seems to be a good deal on a compressor to get the job done.

Unless I read that wrong, that's just the air tank.  not a compressor.

A tank like will work but you'll need a compressor to keep refilling it. I'd go with a small home/shop compressor. I bought mine at Lowes for about 70 bucks.

I really don't use it to put on grips. I like to use the old standard method of using lots of solvent and then sliding them on quickly. For me it's faster than using air. Where the compressor has come in handy was when occasionally I might get one stuck going on and give it a quick burst of air to finish it.

I am glad you pointed that out. I saw it but did not comment because I had just gotten up and am a little giddy from a steroid shot. I had a battle with Step throat and a sinus infection .

I have a semi large compressor left over from the racing days. Darn thing is 25 years old but still kicks. I use a regulator to 35 lbs. I blow all my grips on especially with the classic stuff since I experiment so much on that end. If I did it the conventional way with tape and solvent I would go broke even buying cheap grips. I will also salvage a club at work or pay 2.99 at a thrift for one with a good $6 grip on it. I have a home made piece I can slide in a grip installed (wet like you do ) and get it off with solvent and air in most cases.

Where using air is really faster is taking old grips off... then putting new ones on.

It is like anything else the more you do it the faster it becomes. I have been using air now for about 5 years. The beauty for me is that messing with the classic clubs most of those grips when you find the clubs are shot. You can blow on a new one in no time and use it on my mat and net right then or take it to the range. If the club does not work out I can pull and reuse the grip. Sometimes it takes longer to remove a rotted old grip that put on a new one. On a steel shafted club I will use the propane torch and long knife in a heartbeat. In that case I use a long handled cheap fishing filet knife. if it gets too dull I take the grinder to it. I keep the blade clean with the same torch and wire brush
