2) I play at an 11 Handicap. I'm typically able to play 2-3 times a week and I'm at the range several times a week as well.

3) I currently am playing Nike VR TW Forged Blades (4-9 iron) after switching from Cobra AMP Max irons last year. While sacrificing yardage, I really am pleased with the feel and control of the blades and can rely on my short game to salvage what yardage I may've lost.

4) To be quite honest, I believe I would fair well with either the JPX 900 Tour or JPX 900 Forged. The Tour's are some of the sexiest irons on the market and I would love the opportunity to experience and provide great insight to the control and workability of a top-notch players iron. Nonetheless, I know I would be able to review in-detail either club model and play consistent golf to provide a true and valid review for a handicap player around my skill level.

*I did have the pleasure of receiving absolutely awesome feedback from Sam regarding my data collection of irons that I'd submitted to him. I'm in the process of obtaining the lofts for each clubs as suggested and also finding new approaches to studying club performance when I have time. Quantitatively examining how either the Forged or Tour irons perform under my handicap and also providing a qualitative account would be an awesome experience that I'd love to share.

3. Mizuno MP-25 irons

4. JPX Tour - I hit all 3 models a few months ago.  Eventhough my handicap might suggest the Forged or Hot Metal, I hit the Tour version better than the Forged and I didn't really like the Hot Metal version much.

I've tried to replace my current set a few times, but always come back.  Looking forward to see if the JPX 900 Tours can finally do the trick.

(4) Testers Wanted!!

Mizuno JPX 900 Irons

The irons that tamed Erin Hills!

You know a Tour Pro likes his sticks when he plays them without a contract.

That's what Brooks Koepka did last weekend, gaming the MIzuno JPX 900 Tour irons while lapping the field at the US Open at Erin Hills because he likes them. Mizzy is rightfully proud of its latest Major championship, and in the spirit of striking while the iron is still sizzling, we have an opportunity you can't refuse!

We're looking for four avid and ambitious golfers to test and review (and keep) a set of Mizuno's JPX 900 irons. We have one set of the JPX 900 Hot Metal Irons (which tend as much toward Game Improvement as Mizuno gets), one set of the middle-of-the-bell-curve JPX 900 Forged, and TWO sets of Koepka's JPX 900 Tour irons, definitely aimed at the playah in all of us.

Here's what we need you to do ---

1. Your first name and home state/province

2. Your current handicap

3. Your current set of irons

4: Visit MIzuno's website (click here) and determine which JPX 900 iron set best fits your game!

Remember, you MUST apply in THIS THREAD ONLY!! We'll announce the testers in this space next week.

Have been a Mizunohead my whole life until the 945s kicked the MP69s out of the bag. Curious if the 900 Tours could exact vengeance 😀

Adams pro a12 forged

JPX900 forged

I've hit the forged and tour models at my local shop and like the slightly more forgiveness the forged model provides. I don't work the ball much so I'm OK with the tradeoff. Thanks MGS!
