G'day to all fellow Spies! This is my first proper review on this forum, so my apologies for any grammar/spelling mistakes, and any other errors. I'm welcome to any suggestions for my next review.

It's been an interesting test, that's for sure. I used to be anti-PING (HATED the feel of the drivers and fairways, etc.), but now I'm not so sure. I mean, the 3i has replaced my Apex hybrid in my bag at the moment!! 

Driver: Cobra F9 Speedback (9.0) with Fujikura Atmos 7X (Avalanche White) 

3 Wood: Callaway Epic Sub-Zero (15 degrees) in Rogue Max 75g stiff shaft

Hybrid (not in play): Callaway Apex 20 degree with Kurokage 80g Stiff Shaft

Driving Iron: Wilson Staff Utility Iron 18 degree with KBS Hybrid Stiff shaft

I sat here thinking that this was some sort of metaphorical thing that I was unfamiliar with. Watched the video -- nope! It's literally you hitting balls off of a plate, and somehow balancing a ball on a grill and whacking it. I peed a little from laughing so hard  :blink:

I love the 3 iron, doesn't look intimidating at address which helps with fairway shots.

 

I'm getting around 230+ with it currently and it rarely lets me down even with a bad connection it still goes.

I'm hitting my 3i about the same, and the usual flight is almost as high as my Apex hybrid, but it's a lot more workable. I won't say anything else until my Stage 2's up.

So I see the plate and grill interaction with the i200s are fantastic. Good to know in case my ball lands on a plate or grill on the course (and judging by the way I was hitting the ball yesterday, this might not be an unrealistic scenario) ha ha ha 😂😂😂 Well done Shankster!!

Great start everyone! Looking forward to reading about how these perform when you have more time with them! Also, if anyone wants to go ahead and hit a few shots off the hosel and let me know how they perform from there, that would be great. I still haven't found an iron that does well from there. :) Once they come of with a set that has grooves on the hosel, I'm all in! 

 

ps. I refuse to acknowledge the name of the hosel shot (the S#@9k) because the last time I said it out loud, I seemed to be cursed for a few holes.

Sounds like dang3r embraced the online fitting results, it will be interesting to see how accurate those are.

I like that it's a mixed bag of testers as well. While I love watching guys like Rick Shiels review clubs on YouTube, he's quite a bit better than I am so everything has to be considered when he says something is awesome.

 

MGS should start a YouTube channel so testers can upload videos to show the REAL testing. Hosel rockets, plate and grill shots, etc. The people need our findings!

This will be addressed in stage 2 but on the whole, the length and lie is spot on as are the grip sizes.
