This list is insane! You actually gamed all of those sets?

I have to say - My Maxfli Revolution Black Dots are still amazing. Most underrated and largely unknown iron from back in the day. There is a loyal following lurking on the internets still.

From first to current I've used:

Tommy Armour 845

Wilson Staff fat shaft 2

Lynx tour mc (probably my least favorite, went back to the wilsons)

Nike VR pro combo (2010 model)

Nike Vapor pro combo

Ben Hogan PTx (current)

Favorites have to be the VR pro combos and my Hogans. I'll stick with them for the foreseeable future to save the industry. A few fellas on here know but for those that don't, after each of my last few equipment purchases each of the companies I bought from mysteriously went out of the golf business right afterwards.

My first set was given to me by my friend when I started playing.

They were Spalding executives

Moved from them to Callaway x series and they lasted less than a year.

Went to Taylormade M2 and I didn't like how I hit them on the range or course so I sold and moved on.

Now I'm playing Wishon 575 irons.

Some of you have gamed quite a few sets, that's impressive. How many of those sets do you still have?

... Interesting. As you can tell I really enjoyed them and one of the few sets of irons I reviewed and I still own:

... I am an equipment enthusiast, which sounds much better than Club Ho.  Those of us mature golfers remember a time when we could buy new or used irons, play them awhile and then sell them for what we paid or a small loss and it was much easier to play everything out there. As a Teaching Pro with the IPGA I received quite a few sets from Titleist, Wilson and Tommy Armour when I was on staff. But I started reviewing clubs in the early 90's and that is the main reason I have played so many different irons.

I had the same thought...chisag is a golf nut. I mean that as a compliment.

This was another Maxfli offering that seems to have some lasting mystique amongst club h...errr...enthusiasts.

Only 2 sets for me.

McGregor Nicklaus Muirfields

I play the S300 in both.

I have my dad's old persimmon McGregor driver and a bullseye putter. Eventually I want to can them all up and build a display rack for them.
