  1. 1. How do you use your golf glove(s) ???

    • Glove ON until I putt...even between shots
    • Glove ON until I hit a shot and then I take it off between shots
    • Gloves? Who wears gloves?
    • Two gloves all the time
    • Two gloves until I putt
      0
    • Glove ON all the time ... even when putting
    • Glove OFF when chipping/pitching

This has probably been asked a thousand times but I couldn't find it via search (apologies in advance if it is a duplicate)...and since we have some newer members I thought I'd re-engage the community.

How do you use your golf glove (or gloveS for those that wear 2 like Tommy Two-gloves) ????

I didn't realize it until yesterday but I typically leave mine on until I get to the putter ... even between shots.

I tried taking it off between shots and it seemed more like an annoyance to take it off/put it on/take it off/put it on.

I also thought that maybe I should take it off when chipping or pitching so that I get more feel on the grip...

What do you do?

I take my glove off after every shot, and don't use it at all for pitching, chipping, or putting.

Okay, kind of a side remark that I thought was crazy ridiculous. I played with someone once who wears two pairs of FJ Wintersof gloves. Two on each hand! And even in the summer!

I usually put mine on while driving between holes.  Then it stays on until I'm around the green.  I take it off for chipping, pitching and putting.

Whoa!  That is crazy weird.  2 gloves on each hand???  I didn't even think that was possible.  My father-in-law wears 2 of them but I think it's because he has arthritis and his fingers get cold quickly.  Sometimes he wears baseball batting gloves!

I take my glove off after each shot and do not use it when putting.   I wore my glove continuously one time during a sunny summer day.   My arms and other hand got rather tanned, but my glove hand looked like a ghost hand.

Haha!  Along that same line I find it hilarious when golfers take off their hats at the end of a round to shake hands.  Especially guys like Bill Haas... you can see the part that the hat was shading and they usually have these stark white foreheads!

This... Well except for the ghost hand part ;). I did try a few months without using a glove at all, but realized I was gripping the clubs a bit tighter and wasn't releasing the club.. But that could of been my swing of the day.

Yeah, I wouldn't believe it unless I saw it... and I did. I can't even wear one pair of winter gloves comfortably!

Mine typically never comes off until I'm putting. I'll sometimes loosen it up when I'm walking between holes and it's hot, but other than that it stays on.

I'll usually take mine off for shots around the green to get a good feel for it. That and putting, other than that I'd say I leave it on.

I do have a funnny glove story though. Went golfing with a younger guy once, few years younger than me. He claimed to be really good at golf, I didn't believe him much... he's one of those guys. I knew him a little bit, so he invited me to play. We get to the first tee and I realize his glove is on the same hand as mine. Well, he's a righty and I'm a lefty. He then proceeded to chunk it about 10 yards, proving my point about him being a talker.

I never mentioned anything about the glove, just kinda laughed about it deep inside. We go out a week later and he brings it up, asking "How come you didn't tell me it was on the wrong hand?"

I take it off as soon as I get the ball on the green. Sort of a "ok, your work is done" type of thing. On the next tee I don't put it on until it's my turn. I guess that's kind of a "time to get back to work" thing. Odd the little routines we create for ourselves

This pretty much sums up my glove situation as well. Except for the walking part, way too hot in Hawaii for that business.

I hadn't worn a glove in years until I went to Florida a couple of years ago; much higher humidity than we get here.  However, this year in the early morning the humidity is pretty high after irrigation runs all night and the sun beats down on the course.  So I started wearing a glove the last few weeks.

I will always take it off for all short shots around the green, but putting it back on has not yet become second nature.  I'm standing on the tee with driver in hand, and then think... Oh yeah, put the glove on.

Mine goes on on the 1st tee box and only comes off If i have to pee or stop at the clubhouse on the turn.. I will usually adjust it once or twice a side..

Yeah I'm the only guy who leaves it on all round..

Normally all the time until putting, but it has been so hot and humid lately I cannot leave the glove on all the time, it's too sweaty, and gets soaked too quickly if I leave it on, so lately I've been taking it off between shots. There are also times that I leave the glove on all the time including while putting.
