Winn DriTac

My Mom bought my Dad new grips for Fathers Day. She got him the Winn Midsize DriTac grips. I finally got the chance to install them for him today.



I haven't installed Winn grips except the ones with the wraps. These were much easier to get on than the wraps used to be.

They also have a really good feel to them. Thinking about trying them on my clubs next time I'm due for a change. Anyone use these and what are your thoughts on them?

Also I learned my Dad needs to clean his SW more often!

I've never played Winn grips before, you'll have to keep us posted on how he likes them.

I used to play the Winn wraps but haven't for years. These have a really good soft feel to them.

 

I texted the pic to my mom and she said, "eww, he's nasty." LOL

I found the Winn Dri Tacs about 4 years back and love them. I actually was testing which kind I liked better between traditional Gold Pride (if I remember) on my irons and Winn on driver/fw/wedges. I ended up loving the Dri tacs so much I ended the experiment after 1/2 a season. I switched to the wraps last season.

I have one on my 3w and really like the soft, slightly oversized feel, especially since I am developing a bit of arthritis in my left hand.

4 years ago my wrists starting hurting during rounds.

I went with the med size blue grips.

Pain in my wrist went away after about 4 rounds, stayed with them up until this year.

I just re-gripped all my clubs with Winn Dri-Tac midsize.  If your hands get sweaty or if you play in humid parts of the country where moisture is an issue then they are fantastic.

Im a big fan and am on my second set. Just a note that they wear poorly. I hear the new ones are more hardy. Love the softness and they are easily held.

If you like a soft feel, these are great. But if you play/practice often, don't expect to get a great life span out of them.

I put Winn grips on my clubs one season and they wore out very fast..didn't last a full season.

If the wearing out is flaking, spray them with "never wet" type products. That is what I used on my dads DriTacs. They lasted 2 years. His first go around with them lasted 8-10 months.

 

If wear is from gripping too tight, can't help there.

Have the Dri Tacs on my Hogan irons -- love the soft feel. Am also dealing with some hand pain - mostly in the thumb joints, and the softness helps a little.

I've got them on my Driver and Hybrid so far, and will transition the rest of the set as needed.  I love the soft, tacky feel and the alignment.  I haven't seen any issues with wear yet, but they've only been on for 3 months so far.

I have these on my Wilsons. I like them a lot but they do wear quickly. I also like the wraps version and bought a whole bunch of those from Golfsmith when they closed for cheap so I have a couple years supply of grips. After i use all of them i will probably try to find something else because they are pricey and wear quickly.

I changed only my wedges back to the DriTac mid size, first round went good.

Dri Tacs are quality and for the right person are real winners. I played them for a years before switching to the lamkin rel gen grips. They are lil spongy compared to others, but don't let that stop you from trying them.
