swgolf21
I've always used a scotty or classic ping grip but looking for a change. Mostly missing by pushing putts, anyone have any experience with flatcat and/or super strokes? Just need to change something up.
STUDque
I used to be a pusher like you. I just got a super stroke slim 3.0 and it's saving me 4+ shots per round. It lets you hold the club soft and really feel the putter head connecting squarely on the ball. It's like I inherited the speed and direction of a tour player overnight. And those 5 footers? TSauer
I've had the FlatCat and I enjoyed it. I let another MGS member take it off my hands to test out. I think I would have liked it more if I installed it with the flat part facing out instead of at the hole, but I didn't think of doing that until after the fact. The grip was high quality though, I love the tackiness of it. Felt great in the hands. tommc23
After putting on a super stroke 3.0 flatso on my putter I knocked 5 putts off my first round and 10 off my second round. My putting and driving were the reason I'm not a par golfer but not 3 putting even from across the greens is amazing. I can't believe I waited so long to put one on. Edit: I jinxed myself 3 putted 5 holes today. Sent from my LG-H820 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
litwinaj
I'm also on the Super Stroke Slim 3.0 train. Took me a few rounds to get used to the change in grip (and the new putter as well) but I love it. Overall, I'm putting better but it is hard to attribute it solely to the grip because of the two simultaneous changes.

Overall, I'm putting better but it is hard to attribute it solely to the grip because of the two simultaneous changes. I can draw a straight line from the grip to better putting. I had the same putter for 2ish years (moderate success) and just has issues making a consistent stroke. Insert grip and they're pouring in. Most noticeably, lag putts got demonstrably better. It's quite the relief when your putting takes pressure off the rest of your game. TVgolfer
I liked the Superstroke - takes the hands out of the stroke for sure - but I recently switched to the FlatCat and it's a definite improvement - Hank Haney is right. TWar
Chalk up another in the SuperStroke camp. I use the Flatso 1.0 Slim. It feels great in my hands and gives me the ridges that I like for structure but not oversized. Both my putters have it installed. Only downside is that the grip can get stuck in the bag on other grips. I have a 4 compartment stand bag and it will get caught whether I put it in my woods section or wedges section. Not a deal breaker but more of a nuisance. Good luck! I think you would be satisfied. Also it seems that most OEMs are putting SuperStrokes on their putters at retailers. Good way to try out different SS grips. Good way to try out different SS grips. Once you start getting into these larger grips, it becomes more important to have a dedicated putter well. Arlarson
I had the Flatso 1.0 on my putter and it was good for left hand low but for a traditional grip I could not feel the ball come off the putter so I switched to the Grip Master leather grip which is a standard size. GB13
I play the Ping BB60 putter grip that came stock, and I really like it. The pistol shape feels good in my hands and the size is on the small side but that is my preference.
