What JDM wedges to look at? Average Player

Recommended Posts

I need a new wedge like another hole in the head, but this is my hobby.  I'm just starting to look at JDM stuff.

I currently have a Mizuno JPX wedge 54, which is targeted to the mid-higher handicap and it has performed well.

Suggested candidates that could knock it out?  Easy to hit is key.

I've been gaming a Miura K-grind for the past 1.5 months. It comes in 52*, 56*, and 60*. I play in northern CA where the ground can be hard during the summer. I took the 56* and bent it into 54* with 10* bounce. cuts through the green side rough like butter. very easy to hit out of side hill and tricky down hill lies. touch and feel is soft- excellent. but, it really digs into the fairway and tight lies, especially when hitting full shots. the specs are below. I like this club better than my mizuno T5 52* wedge.

Lie 63.5 63.5 63.5

Gotta agree with you on the Miura K grind. Love the way they sit the only issue for me is that they are too soft for my feel. But that is just me. One of my golf buddies is the local Miura dealer here so I get to hit all the offerings
