Sunglasses

I was wondering if you guys wore sunglasses on the course? I've noticed most PGA guys have them on their head, but rarely have them on. I work outside everyday and got in the habit of wearing some. Now when I go outside I almost have to wear them or the brightness hurts my eyes. On a cloudy day, when I don't wear them, it seems like I strike the ball better. Anyone else do this or notice this?

Depends if I'm wearing a hat or not. I always keep a real cheap beater pair in my bag. If I'm wearing a hat I don't usually wear sunglasses, unless it's a hole where the sun is just brutal and it's hard for me to watch other people's ball or see my ball after my shot.

If skip the hat for the day (don't want that Jon Rahm tan line) I typically wear sunglasses, but still find myself taking them off for shots time to time.

I always wear my sunglasses while golfing. Have the Oakley Flak Jackets with the bronze "golf" lenses. Really brightens my vision brings out the contours of the greens &I fairways. Super light weight and you barely realize you are wearing them. It gets bright out in AZ.

No shades for me, the hat usually does it for me. I wear them outside everywhere, but for some reason I just can't while I'm on the course.

I wear the Oakley prizm golf flak jacket. Love it! Gotta have the shade.

Some of those guys on tour do not wear caps or glasses is for the face time. They all wear it at high school and college level what change? TV time. They flip them upside down so they can still get sponsor.

Hit or miss for me, I always wear a hat since I shave my head bald. If I do, it's usually short-lived because I feel a strike the ball better without them… Or at least that's what I tell myself with my handicap.

I think a Rusty nailed it, many of the pros wear them on their heads or hats purely for sponsorship reasoning, because maybe a bigger sponsor has the chest, sleeve and/or hat placement rights??

Any time I'm outside during the day I wear sunglasses, even when it's overcast, and always on the course. Just my regular everyday shades (SPY) nothing special for golf.

I wear Oakley Tens or Flak Jacket XLJ. Both pair have golf prizm.

Thinking of putting back the V28 lenses back in

Have you tried Field Prism? I much prefer it to the Golf Prism lens.

No I haven't.. Maybe next year. Because mine are prescription, changing is cost prohibited.

The V28s are old prescription (3 yrs) but still able to see & use them.

I prefer to wear magnifying glasses so it looks like I hit the ball further than I really did. Keeps me motivated...

Honestly, I can stand sunglasses ever, I know they protect the eyeball, but I just started wearing prescription glasses and they are an annoyance. The frames mess me up, with peripheral. Looking to get contacts.

I've been using the Oakley Prizm half jackets for about 9 months now and really enjoy them. They help me pick the ball flight up on cloudy days and I struggled to do that before.  I also feel like I can see breaks on the green with them on. I used to always take my sunglasses off when I did that before I got these.

I got contacts to help me out on the course even though my vision isn't THAT bad. I honestly find myself wearing my glasses much more often. Just took a second to get accustomed to.

I spent most of the last 29 years working graveyard or swing shift, I wear sunglasses a lot... And Almost always wear a hat (except at work).. So while Golfing I wear Oakley Fast jackets with a dark polarized tint or tinted Laser operator glasses.. And a hat..

My wife won at a charity thing a pair of Glasses I forget which ones, but they were about $129 when she got them, putting them on was like Hi-def.. Holy crap they are sweet.. I couldn't talk her out of them.. But DAMMMMMMMM

I have a problem spending over $100.00 for a non prescription sunglasses. Just seems like a lot of dough for a plastic frame and lens. I have spent $150.00 years ago but I was still working.

If you are looking for something less expensive, look into Tifiosi. I is use some with a EC lens (extreme contrast), so it's not too dark, but gives good clear vision when it's bright and sunny. Tifosi has many different types and most of them come with different type of lenses that you can switch out. Most of them cost less than 100 bucks, with many of them in the 40-60 dollar range.

She bought my oakley's for fathers day a few years ago, at the outlet store.. they came with 2 sets of lenses and a hard case for 180 ish.. so it was like i got 2 pairs of quality glasses. I usually hardly spend much on sunglasses as they get scratched, broke or lost...

That's my problem, I'm terrible with sunglasses. Lose or break them. The Sundogs somehow have lasted.

Living in Florida, I have to wear a hat. As the years go by I am starting to get thinner and thinner up top and nothing is more painful than a burnt head.

If it's bright, I'll wear sunglasses or if the hole is playing into the sun. I tend to take them off when putting though.
