I never gave the immense atmospheric electricity generated by mixing weather systems the respect it deserved until the day every hair on my body suddenly stood at attention. The sound, light and power

I'll play in anything but lightning.   But to answer the question of when I leave the course...it's usually around the 3rd text from my wife to get home.

Ping G410 - turned down to11.25 degrees, neutral setting - Fujikura Motore X R flex

Ping G410 5-9 wood

Wilson D7 forged 6-GW -  Mamiya recoil 460 R flex

SCOR 52,60

EVNRoll ER 5

Titleist Pro VIx optic yellow with revkev stamped on them

Currently testing Edison wedges to replace SCORS that are wearing out. Also auditions for the 14th spot in the bag.  Current possibilities are a Ping 26 degree hybrid - duplicates the 9 wood or 5 iron but would be used almost exclusively for chipping or Tour Exotics 3 wood simply because you can carry 14 clubs and I might occasionally hit it in certain unusual wind conditions once every four or five rounds.

When I'm finished my round, or the siren blows to finish it for me. My club has just bought in a heat policy, but it hasn't been used yet. It will be interesting to see what happens when summer comes around.

Excluding severe weather I can only think of two times I've walked off. One was I was feeling sick and the other a fella tried to pick a fight. It'll take a lot to get this nut off the course.

Sprinklers! My dad's bag got soaked once when the sprinklers popped up. It was pretty bad. But, we got on the course for a good price :)

Interesting!  At my old course these were running 24/7.  We just played around them.  The interesting part was knowing when the stations changed; if you didn't know which line came on next, you could get soaked.

In college I was playing one of the best rounds of my life. -4 after 8 holes on what was supposed to be a screw around day. We kept it light. No wonder I was playing well.

Problem was, we teed off at 3:30. Dinner in college ended at 6:30.

As any broke college kid can confess, it's hard to pass up dinner when you have already paid for it.

To my friends amusement, I packed it up, took my par on 9 and we headed to campus.

To me, the story is better than any chance of breaking the CR.

A couple months ago we had the sprinklers go off under the cart, scared the c@&p out of us. The maintenance guys were working on the system and didn't know we were there as we were 1st group out and about 20 min ahead of schedule.

Hmmmmm.  I have walked off a few times.  I find myself now during bad weather, watching my radar app on my phone to find out how serious the storm is and how long it might take to blow through.  I was just in Rochester recently and a storm was coming through in waves.  When it started to rain, I would find a tree (I know not the greatest idea) and wait for the wave to move through (watching the app) and then keep playing until the next wave comes.

I was playing a round about two months ago, storm rolled in on 16th green, lightening on 17th fairway. I was able to finish. Just waited for the lightning bolt THEN, I'd hit my next shot

It was one of my best rounds up to that time this year!

I'd say you're in line for the Darwin Award.  If I can see the lightning, I'm gone.

I've had those sprinklers shoot me right in the crotch before. At first you're scared, then a little mad, then a little embarrassed, then you might as well pee yourself because it already looks like you did.

Cracked me up - me also - if I see lightning I'm out. Thunder and I check the app on my phone. Storms can pop up so fast here in the summer.
