808nation
Got a NEW set of irons with graphite shafts, but don't like the midsize grip installed. Any way to remove it without scratching the graphite shaft? Looked on the tube and just can't see myself sticking a rod or tool in between the shaft and grip and then twisting it until you could pull it off. Steel shaft yes, but graphites no, or will the tape inside protect the shaft. STUDque
If you get a pump with a needle on the end, you can inject grip tape solvent between the grip and shaft and they will slide right off. STUDque
Sorry let me rephrase, I actually would like to save these midsize grips because they are still new. Sent from my SM-G955U using MyGolfSpy mobile app The needle and solvent will help you save the grips. It's kind of a tricky process so I definitely recommend watching someone do it on YouTube first. The key is to use more solvent than you think is necessary. Even still it'll take a good bit of elbow grease. Blacklist
Guess it would also depend if this was a 1 time project or something you were looking to do regularly until you figured out which grip you liked ($$$). https://www.golfworks.ca/pressurized-golf-grip-remover/p/GS6/ This remover works well, you could also use it with an air compressor, but it will remove the grip safely on its own, ready to use again, in like 10 seconds.
