Kenny B
Another one that I've heard a few times--You don't play that bad for someone your age. Yep, heard that one last Thursday night. I played with an exchange student from Sweden who hit it a mile. He joined us on hole #5. Good player. We both parred #5 and #6; he birdied #7 while I parred; I parred #8 and he bogeyed; I parred #9 and he hit his first ball into the driving range, hit his second tee shot into the left rough and made a triple. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

" But did you see that drive? " followed up with a "F-Off".. LOL I do this all too frequently. We have a nearly 600 yard par 5, and I can get there in 3 shots if I hit a good drive and good 2nd shot. I feel really good when I get a good drive because it catches a downslope and I get a few more yards. It's the next shot that screws me up, and then it's tough to get there in 4 shots. I wasted a good drive. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

WDonAnd
I have heard 6 good ones over the years two of them from my late uncle! 1) do your drives always leak to the right like that when you are aiming straight down the pipe?!? 2) remember this putt is uphill/downhill with a little wiggle at the end, so don't leave it short! 3) that's your best drive all day unfortunately it end up two holes over! 4) what do you mean that is not the right green, it hole 8 right?!? 5) everyone likes a little tail but seriously dude that is the worse slice I have ever seen! You have got to be in the next county!!! 6) Just write down now a score of ten for this hole because that ball is long gone all the wrong direction!!! TheWahoo
When a bad shot ends with a good result: Hey, they don't put pretty on the scorecard. When a hard hit ball never gets more than a few inches off the ground; That one probably raped a snake, yep that's a snake raper. When a ball lands on the green but a long, long way from the hole: Well, you're dancing, but its gonna be a long song with a rather ugly woman. When asked for my advise; Asking me is like Ray Charles telling Stevie Wonder how to get home. And the classic: It's called golf because all of the other 4 letter words were taken. On a typical Sunday morning, when the wife heads to Mass and I to the golf course, I tell her: I bet I see and hear more people praying than you do.
