HardcoreLooper
Vice or Cut are pretty cheap in my opinion. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk I'll vouch for both of them. If you want to buy brand new urethane balls at a low price, they're both solid. Especially for someone like me that can definitely tell the difference between urethane and surlyn but can't really distinguish between different urethane balls. JTexGolfer
I have had the best luck with the Srixon Z Star ball. It seems to have less side spin than the Pro V1 or V1x, which both side sp N for me about like the Z Star XV. Tried Chrome Soft, Vice, and MTB but they were notably shorter off of the driver for me and I have gotten better green side spin with the Srixon. I need to stick with it but I end up playing a lot of balls that I find. It's an old habit from when I was a broke high schooler trying to play and I have never been able to break it. chisag 1 Quote 400 Driver (8*) UST ATTAS Punch 6S F6 Baffler (16*) Matrix Red Tie 65Q4 816 H1 Hybrid (21*,23*) Diamana S+ Blue 82 HY Z765 (5-PW) +2* Aerotech Steelfiber i110cw Vokey SM5 50.08F 54.10M Aerotech Steelfiber i110cw PM Grind 60* Dynamic Gold S400 TR 1966 Anser 2 Z Star ball Pioneer Cart Bag

I have been playing some Chrome Soft X balls along with Tour Preferred and TP5x here in Phoenix. 8 rounds into 30 rounds in 30 days. FYI, the PGA Superstore has ProV1x practice balls for $29.99 a dozen and two dozen for $50. I just take a magic marker and black out the PRACTICE which then looks like a thick alignment aid. ... But I just took advantage of the Taylor Made TP5x promotion "buy 3 get one free" with personalized golf balls. I am not a fan of personalization so just ordered a black . which is pretty much invisible. I had $120 in a Dicks cash coupon so 4 dozen only cost me $5. The thing I love about the Dicks CC is it pays for my balls and shoes and more. I use it for everything like a debit card paying it off every month and really rack up the cash coupons. yungkory, PING Apologist #9, Golfspy_CG2 and 2 others 5 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... PMookie
I played 6 holes today hitting three balls off the tee, from the fairway (full and 1/2 shots), chipping, and putting: OnCore Elixr, 2018 Chrome Soft X, and my gamer, TP5X. Overall, today, there really wasn't much difference between the CSX and TP5X as far as spin, length, and height. The CSX was easily the hardest off of every club, with every type of shot. The Elixr was the softest in each type of shot, and launched the highest, but didn't balloon. I really didn't see much in the distance differences because my driver was an issue today, again. The Elixr always seemed to be a yard or two longer on full shots with my irons and wedges, when comparing ball marks left behind on the greens. Overall, I'm a big fan of the Elixr, although it had a “heavy†feel on chips vs the other two, which could be the sense of it being softer. The CSX was not my favorite... Just too hard. I'm stuck with it, though, as I bought four dozen personalized. Oh well. No real biggie! I'll keep putting these against each other, especially when it's dryer and warmer.
