averagehack 13
I play on a course with ball-eating trouble on every hole, so I usually play the best budget ball I can find. That has been the Wilson Zip for the last 2 seasons. Decent ball, nothing more, nothing less. Just ordered the new Laddie Extreme balls made by Bridgestone, will try them over the weekend. Have played SrixonZ stars, ProVs, B330s, Chrome softs, NXTs, and most recently the Volvik Vivid. Of these, the Vivid impressed me the most off the tee and around the green. With all that being said, I will continue to play the budget balls until my budget and ball striking allow for the higher end options. Weekend_Warrior 36
I've always played Titleist ProV1s, but this year I decided to try out some different balls to hopefully find a lower cost alternative. I bought one of those sampler packs from Vice Golf and I absolutely loved the Pro Plus. Before I could pull the trigger on them I was able to buy the Costco Kirkland Signature golf balls. I like the Vice ball better than the Kirkland, but it was negligible and the cost savings on the Kirkland ball was too great to pass up. So now I'm playing the Kirkland ball until I go through 4 dozen of them. 2 Quote Driver: PXG Proto X 3 Wood: PXG 0341x GEN2 17* Hybrid: PXG 0317x GEN2 3 Iron: Mizuno MP18 Fli Hi 4-6 Irons: Mizuno MP18 SC MMC 7-PW Irons: Mizuno MP18 SC Wedges 51* and 56*: Ping Glide 2.0 Putter: PXG Spitfire GEN2
dang3rtown 966
While testing the Ping i200s, I decided to channel my inner Bubba and picked up a sleeve of Volviks (the matte, pink balls) and discovered... that they play just as well as other urethane balls and they're crazy bright pink so I find them really fast! They play on par with the B330S that I used to game for both distance and control and not only do I never lose balls but my search time for balls in the rough is about a quarter of what it used to be. These things just pop. I recommend giving them a shot! Bonus, they're a bit cheaper than ProV1s or B330s, about the same as the B330RXS PS - The only issue I have with them is wear. Since I never lose these things, I really need to inspect the ball for wear. The matte finish also hides cuts and scuffs better than gloss so you have to keep an eye out. 2 Quote Driver: G 10.5* W/Tour Stiff 65g Ping Shaft Fairway Woods: Cobra F6 13.5*, F6 Baffler 16* Irons: Split Set- i200 3i - 7i , Ft Worth 15s, 8 (36), 9 (40), PW (44) Wedges: TK, 52* & 56* Putter: Sigma G Kushin Bag: Hoofer 5way Balls: TP5/X
STUDque 11,886
All my balls are refurbished. The AAAA quality is fine for me because they're unblemished and the logos are an easy way to distinguish my ball. Right now I'm playing these: Pro V1 if my swing is feeling good and I'm ready to score low Hex Chrome if I need to straighten it out a bit Z star if I need to get my recovery game a boost I can usually tell on the range what ball I'll be taking to the course with me Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy 3 Quote In my Pisa, riding on a 3.5+ G410+ EXS 5W King F7 Hy i500 5-GW Equalizer 56/60 Heppler Ketsch
Yak 53
I probably switch balls more than I should. Right now I am really enjoy the Titlest TruSoft DT and the Bridgestone e6 Soft. 93civiccpe 21
I've been playing the Snell mtb but recently have been experimenting with the Taylormade TP5x and have been playing it recently. I like the performance I've seen with the TP5x but they are more pricey for sure.

Hoganman1 145
I've been a Titleist Pro-V1 guy ever since they were introduced, but I've been experimenting of late. I've played the Snell MTB and the Taylormade TP5X so far. I like them both around the greens. Interestingly, even though I'm a senior with a slower swing speed (85+ mph) I've been getting more distance off the tee with the TP5X. I've bought a dozen of the TM TP5s to try next. I also plan on trying the Callaway Chrome Soft and CSX too. Chipping and putting are my strengths so I like a urethane tour type ball. However, as I get older more distance from the tee will help too. My plan is to settle on one ball in the next month or so. Quote Drive for Show; Putt for Dough

However, they don't always fit my budget... I play Srixon Q-Stars pretty often, as the price on GolfBalls.com is usually good. Not the same as the 330, but when it comes to playing golf, or playing with a higher quality ball, I'll play golf. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Quote "Where'd it go?" tarheelTJ 32
Just switched, after much testing and reluctance, to the TP5x. I have played the ProV1x for many years and always said if anything better came out I would switch. For me, that hadn't happened until the TP5x. It's just a better ball for my game! Shankster 26,312
I'm on a Srixon Z - Star kick. They are perfect. Going to test the XV soon. I can bend them, they stop quicker than ProV's, B330S, and they are perfectly soft. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

ole gray 16,536
I purchase more Bridgestone products than anything else as I'm trying to support a company that has a facility right across the state from me in Covington, Ga. Plus their lower tier balls are budget friendly and work well for me. I play with the E6, Treo, Fix, and the new Soft is a good ball IMO. I also like the Callaway Chrome Soft balls & the new Srixon Q-Star Tour balls. 3 Quote Callaway Epic Flash 10.5 Driver Callaway MAVRIK MAX 3 - wood Callaway Big Bertha 2019 4 & 5 hybrid Tommy Armour 845 MAX 6 - GW Irons Cleveland CBX 2 54 Degree SW Cleveland CBX Full-Face Wedge 58 degree Odyssey Triple Track 10 Putter

chisag 12,113
... I have been playing Z Stars for several years now and have been very happy with their performance. But I tried some TP5x a little while ago and I have switched to them. The TP5x is most definitely the longest ball I have hit off the tee, and it is also a few yds longer off my irons. Green side spin is not quite what the 2017 Z Star is but so close I had to do side by sides to tell the difference, and it is minimal. Fwiw, I tried the TP5 and it is not as long as the TP5x for me, ymmv. Quote Driver: TaylorMade SIM2 Max ... Diamana Limited 60R Fairway: Cobra SZ 14.5* ... ngsimon09 32
Been playing Bridgestone b330's this year but picked up a box of tp5x's to try. Thru one round I'm undecided. Definitely a little "harder" feeling than the b330's and not sure the durability is as good. They do seem to "hop and stop" on the green and I did gain some distance off the tee.
