Did this project a while back and shared it on another forum. Just thought it share it here also. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed doing the project.

Started with this

IMG_1560.JPGIMG_1561.JPGIMG_1563.JPG

After a lot of time elbow grease it looked like this...IMG_1661.JPGIMG_1658.JPGIMG_1660.JPG

Cashed in a favor from a friend who does Cerakote and did a little paint fill and re-assembly. I ended up with this for about $75.00

That is some outstanding work! How'd you go about getting all the nicks out of it?

i used sand paper and elbow grease mostly. Used a dremel for some of the worst ones. The stainless is pretty soft.

That's exactly what I use. Sand paper and a Dremel. Did you have any issues keeping the putter surface smooth while using the Dremel?

What grit did you go with?

i can't remember exactly but I progressed from rough to smooth. Maybe 80 down to about 400. Didn't have to be too smooth because the Cerakote requires a media blasting before you do it.

And I thought mine looked good with just a black shaft. That blacked out head is looking great

Turned out nice!
I did some similar work on a Studio Stainless.  Started with 100 grip and some oil and went down to 0000 steel wool in the end (had to get it smooth because I left it raw / no black finish).
I weighed the head before and after and it didn't lose more than a couple grams.
Beat up putters make great winter projects!
