Another Virginia golfer

Good afternoon,

I'm a long time reader but recently joined the forums. I've been golfing poorly for a couple decades while telling myself I could figure this game out myself. A couple years ago I started taking lessons and working on my game more seriously. (This is a little challenging recently as my wife and I just had our third child in May). I try to hit balls a couple times a week and do drills in the evenings. I've picked up distance and accuracy with all my clubs and have shot a few rounds in the 80s recently. I'm currently working to break 80. Here's my current setup:

Taylormade M2 driver (2016) with aldila rogue silver stiff flex shaft

Callaway Bertha mini 1.5 mini driver with aldila stiff flex shaft

Taylormade M1 2-hybrid (2016) with kuro kage stiff flex shaft

Mizuno JPX fli-hi 4 hybrid & 5 hybrid (stiff steel shafts)

Orka RS3 6 iron through PW (stiff steel shafts)

Orka RS10 52 degree gap wedge with stiff shaft

Callaway MD3 56 & 60 degree wedges with stiff shafts

Odyssey works tank versa 7 putter

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better and contribute!

Oh, and I do have a couple 3-woods but since I'm not hitting them off the deck well I have the mini driver in the bag instead to help with driving tighter fairways.

Welcome! I just joined this whole GSF recently as well and I will tell you it sure is addicting and enjoyable. Its nice to just be able to discuss and read about golf whether its to improve your game, tips, equipment, or just talking about anything. Hope the game continues to get better and believe me we all can use a better game!
