Heading to Branson MO

I will be vacationing in Branson Mo in a couple of weeks.  I know there are several courses to play, but would love to get insight from anyone with knowledge of the courses in the area.  I am a high handicapper so I don't necessarily want to play the expensive courses like Top of the Rock or Buffalo Hills. Any opinions are welcome.

John Daly's Murder Rock is good. The course right next to it is just as good or better. I believe they are in the town of Hollis, just south of Branson.

Murder Rock closed down few years ago.

I appreciate the input.  As a new golfer, I am exited about playing some rounds out of state.

  • 2 weeks later...

So I just got back from Branson.  The forum was right on the money.  Buffalo Ridge was great.  I took pics that look exactly like the ones' Bulldog posted.  It was hard not to pull my phone out on every hole to take a pic.  I stayed at Holiday Hills and played their course 2 times.  It is an easy and short course, but it was well maintained and fun to play.  If I make it back to Branson, I will try some of the other courses, especially Branson Hills and Ledgestone.

If you are going to Branson, take your clubs.  They have some great golf there.
