My speculation would be that Fed-ex and the Tour may be trying to minimize its competition with pro football for viewership by moving the play offs up on the schedule.

I agree here, I don't think there is any other current player that is more exciting when he's in the hunt to watch.  I mean it's obvious in his body language and all, just very fun to watch when he's playing well.

My pick is Dustin, I think he's driving it as well as anyone and both he and Rory can have their moments (bad) with the putter, but i trust DJ's wedge game more to get him shorter putts.  So that's my logic.

Actually,  this PGA will hold more interest to me than it typically does.   There are many interesting entertaining scenarios and aspects.

 

Will Speith reach the career grand slam?

 

Has Rory recovered from his injury and marriage and win with his best friend on the bag?

 

Can Hidecki keep his momentum from his win this past weekend and become the first Japanese player to win a major?

 

Will Rickie be able to avoid grasping defeat from the jaws of victory and win his first major? 

 

Will one of the other young bucks from the class of 2011 win a first major? 

 

Yep, its going to be an interesting tournament, not its usual lack luster last of the majors.   Well, at least I hope so, some one not on the radar could have the rounds of their life and win.

I'm with ya on ole Kuch taking the trophy.  He's about as laid back as they get however don't let that fool ya.  Very competitive and the fire in his belly for a major is boiling over however the time is running out.  Sic em Kuch!

It's nice hearing the announcers talk about how hard and fast the greens are, and how the Bermuda rough is really tough. How driving the ball in the fairway is imperative. Well, these are the conditions that I play every week. Hard, fast greens, and tough Bermuda rough, if you've never had the pleasure of being in deep Bermuda rough, you should feel lucky, but hopefully it's not sitting up just a bit, because then you get the flyer where you hit your 7 iron 230 yards in the air. Some of these guys are very good at judging those lies, but if you guess wrong you get the heavy fat shot where your 7 iron only goes 100 yards. Look for these kind of shots as you watch this week.

I just noticed Rory's putter, did I see correctly, the back shows a large TP on it, but I thought I saw that the bottom showed a Nike swoosh. Is it a Nike Putter made to look like a TM?

TP? Like in "TP Mills"?

In his defense people have laid ridiculous expectations on him. He needs to put his ear plugs in and be patient. Let his talent do the talking.
