Golfspy_CG2
Spieth won't complete the grand slam in a given year, too many courses will require hitting a driver in the fairway. Now this we might be in agreement on. it's why I don't like him at Quail Hollow. Eseay32
I would like to go Rickie but I'm not sure he ever wins a major...as Butch Harmon said " he needs to decide if he's a professional golfer that wants to win or just earn money. So I'm betting Rory and Spieth are the final pairing on Sunday. And as a Rickie fan, maybe he's around lurking (and the. Hoganman1
My buddies and I always pick three players: who we think will win; our sentimental favorite; and our "dark horse". I'm picking Rory to win, Kuch is my sentimental favorite, and John Rahm is my "dark horse". I played Quail about six weeks ago and hitting fairways is a must plus the new greens are treacherous. Having said that someone will probably shoot 61. Drive for Show; Putt for Dough

I would think he would be on the favorites to win list of many people. I think my dark horse would be Adam Hadwin, with Speith the winner and Fowler at my sentimental favorite. Hoganman1
I played at 6100 yards and I shot 87. I actually scored better on the back nine. My front was 45 and 42 on the back. I doubled 18. My drive was so close to the creek i had to backhand it back into the fairway and then I three putted. The beer wasn't quite as good after that finish. Kor.A.Door
Well, they are playing In my back yard this week. Today is kind of a crappy day, I bit gloomy, and wet. I did not get tickets, and I don't know why. I have had offers to go on Tuesday, Wed., and Thrus., but I can't get off work to go. I should have planned this better. Oh well. I may try to sneak out on Thursday for half day, and catch all the afternoon rounds. Lefties are always in their Right Mind

Kor.A.Door
Would Love to See Phil pull this win out. Jordan would be nice, and gets him the grand slam. Rickie plays well here Rory plays well here I kind of think it may be someone new. This course favors long and straight. So if one of them gets hot with the driver and manages to make some putts. My pick is Phil. (Always) I think Rickie and Rory will be around the top of the leaderboard. If Jordan can Keep the ball in the fairway, With the way he putts, I think he wins. Rickp
And it won't get better with the PGA. No matter how good the golf or competition is, it never feels all the way like a major. Maybe they should swap out the PGA with The Players on the major circuit. At least it's got a legitimate identity and some seriously exciting finishing holes. Sent by carrier pigeon using MyGolfSpy I've attended a few PGA Championships and when your there it does feel a lot more than just a weekly tournament. But on the same note Arnies Bay Hill also felt special when he was there. sixcat
I have followed Rory for a week twice at Quail Hollow. First when he made the cut on the number in 2010 and lapped the field on Saturday and Sunday going 66-62 to win going away. Second when he blistered the field to win by seven shots in 2015. He can play this course incredibly well. Even with recent form not being up to his standards and the move away from JP, he will contend in my opinion. *** I like the move to May by the PGA of America. I think it opens up all sorts of non-traditional course possibilities in places like the deep south. It wont be oppressively hot in May like it is in August.
