SirShankalot
I've been having a look for a new pair of golf shoes but not really sure what to go for. I've heard good things about Skechers but at the moment they don't really design a shoe that I like the look of. Does anyone have any recommendations? chisag
... I really hate the fact that many shoe OEM's have gone to "pointy toes" for fashion. I almost always walk and need an athletic shoe with a normal rounded toe like all athletic shoes. Skecher did this with their GoGolf Elite 2 version where the original was more comfortable with a rounded toe. Oh well, I am still using FootJoy Athletic shoes and are the only golf shoe I have worn in the last 10 years as they were very comfortable right out of the box. When they went on sale I bought 4 pair and still have 2 pair left: https://www.footjoy.com/golf-sneaker/014SPE.html?dwvar_014SPE_color=56732#gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8PL9_NWp1QIVhzyBCh2X5QfNEAAYASABEgLfWvD_BwE&start=17 Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... StrokerAce
a lot of people seem to really like the BOA lacing vs. standard lacing. something to think about as that could contribute a lot towards the comfort of the shoe. PokeForeLyfe
I've really enjoyed the Footjoy Hyperflex and DNA. The BOA system is very nice. Both super comfortable and athletic feeling. I recently tried the Freestyle too and it was like putting my foot in a pillow. Very athletic and flexible. Just a little too soft for me. All of my shoes are spiked. I slip in all conditions with spineless shoes. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
Sparksjr
at risk of just suggesting my gamer... the only spiked shoes I have are Foot joy Freestyle and they are pretty comfortable. moreso than the old Adidas Tour 360's I had a couple years ago. Divothead
I have quite a few pairs Adidas Powerband boost boa golf shoes. these are really comfortable yet I feel I should have gone half a size bigger. Sketchers go golf pro LX. I had to buy an after market insole for these as the ankle cuff is quite high and digs into my ankle the thicker insole stops this. So, in reality, they are no good for me. FootJoy Dryjoy tours. These are class act they look the least comfortable but do not let that fool you. I would recommend these overall. I have these in black and I am seriously considering a white pair. The FootJoy freestyle is catching my eye yet so did the Adidas and Sketchers and they just don't cut the mustard in comparison. rouge subzero Fujikura Evo 2 shaft F2 3 wood Mitsubishi rayon 818.21 hybrid Even flow black Ben Hogan irons apex 4 shafts S18 wedges 50/54/58 Cameron and Crown M1

chisag
... Fwiw, I tried a couple pair of Ecco's and they gave me blisters on my heel. Just not a secure fit for me but I do have some walking issues from so many sprains in my high school and college days playing football and basketball. A shame really as I also found them very comfortable and bought my wife a pair of walking Eccos that she loves. Just check for any heel movement when you walk around the store, but again it may just be me. Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... Ventus Red Velocore 5R Fairway: Qi10 5 wood ... nsmodha
I just bought the FootJoy DNA Helix BOA shoes and love them. It's the first time I've had a golf shoe with the BOA system so it was a little different at first but once you get used to it they are very convenient. Most importantly, they are extremely comfortable. I've worn them for about 10 rounds so far and haven't had any wear on the topside of shoe or grip issues with the spikes. Once again, FootJoy has put out a quality product! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy NSM
Phil Young
Adidas Tour365 Boost are the most comfortable I've ever had, however make sure you get the 2018 version as the material used for the inside of the heel has been changed to leather. PING Apologist #9
I for one am kind of a stick-in-the-mud when it comes to quality footwear. I ONLY buy USA-made stuff almost to a fault and hate myself when I have to give into cheap crap. At work I wear Danner Light II's or their Quarry USA line when a steel toe is required. For hunting I have an old pair of Browning's that are super comfy. When bowling I sport my Dexter USA SST 1's. My tennie-runners are of course blue and orange (Go Broncos!) New Balance 993's and then around the house I have these insanely priced Quoddy Fireside Campers that I love. The above little set retails to the higher side of a grand or better. Yes I am that sick... When I began to finally catch this golf bug earlier this year, I just knew I'd never find anything USA-made at any store anywhere, so began a quest to find "retro" or "vintage" golf shoes. The sickness continues... I settled on grabbing 2-pairs (1 white & 1 black) of the handmade Footjoy Classics Tour line on eBay-and got them BNIB!.Though there is some amount of break-in period to them, I am quite satisfied and have that personal piece-of-mind I need-whew! Quite stylish too I might add, and I get many positive compliments on them as well. Along with my Kentwool sock (thanks forums!), I am stepping with style!
