Made chili for the guys at work tonight no pictures but it was good. Used dried chilies as the base instead of powder and the guys liked it one said it was too spicy but he’s a wimp and I told him so 😂😂😂. Used a roast as the meat which I cubed up and after hours it was fall apart tender I will definitely do that again it turned out really nice

I didn't cook this but this or happy thread is where this post belongs.  I'll keep it here for now...

Last night was our group holiday / eoy dinner.  I have been eyeing this plate of marrow for months and was thrilled they hadn't pulled it from the menu.  Paired with an old fashioned it was fantastic.

Parsnips are a cousin to the carrot and are a little less sweet and have more of an earthy flavor. Peel them and cut them into match sticks. In a large bowl mix them with 2 TBS of coconut oil, 1 TBS of smoked paprika and a flakey salt, I use smoked sea salt, but any flakey salt will do. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and lay the fries out so they are not touching. Bake for 25 minutes at 400*, then turn on the broiler and cook until the thin ends start to blacken. #Flavortown

Meh, you churn out some very delectable dishes! Being a good cook is all about how much time & sous cheffing your willing to do for a meal. Most young people with busy jobs and kids don't have the time. Being semi-retired, and just me and the mrs., allows me to spend a couple hours/days working on a meal.

I love cooking but even without kids it's tough! Getting home at 5 and then needing dinner ready by 5:45 so that we both have time to workout, do projects, practice, etc. is fairly limiting.

Always enjoy seeing what everyone is cooking around here. 🍳
