One I can add, finally. Chili with some shredded white cheddar and bacon bits for garnish. Turned out great, and ate way too much.

Merry Christmas Spies. I made a Prime Rib. It turned out perfect. I also whipped up some horseradish cream to go with it.

Christmas dinner was typical holiday fare, but the dessert was epic. French apple bourbon custard cake, a la mode of course.

First Christmas without any of my family; dad passed away last May.  He always made clam chowder on Christmas Eve, so I took a crack at it for just my wife and I.  Not bad!  Room for improvement, but I'll work on it to maintain that tradition.  My wife made Christmas dinner... tri-tip done to perfection in the oven since it was too cold for bbq.  Quiet day!

Not wasting a day carb loading before I get back on the keto diet. Dinner last night was shrimp risotto in a saffron broth.

Fun food fact: On an once to ounce basis, Saffron threads are the most expensive item in a grocery store.

I love cooking with it, but it is $$$$. We tried to grow our own one year, but a large plant only yield like 4 threads, so it makes sense as to why it's so expensive.

Didn’t cook it but the wife and I went out last night and it looks like something @Headhammerwould whip up. Too beautiful of a presentation not to share.

Pan crusted salmon with a chestnut cashew purée, Maitake mushroom and beet yogurt.
It was amazing

Favorites from childhood growing up in an English household in the States, I never thought Mincemeat Pie would be something I would prefer over others, but here we are.  And Sausage Rolls or "Pigs In A Blanket" have been perennial favorites forever.  Wife learned mom's recipes while there was still time and favorite traditions continue!

The Brandy and Rum is part of the flavoring that makes this pie like candy and the next best thing to chocolate!  Happy New Year!!! 🎆🎇🥂🎉

My mom used to make mincemeat cookies when we were kids, loved them!  Probably 30 years since I had one then when we moved our new neighbors, who were Brits, made mini pies for Christmas one year and they were fantastic!

I am liking into Keto. My biggest issue is/will be breakfast. I'm up early and not wanting to mess the kitchen up then clean it before I leave at 5:30am. What kind of suggestions would a world renowned foodie as yourself have for keto breakfast ideas?

Never was a breakfast fan, so for a long time I'd just skip it.

I do tend to eat something now, but usually it's something like a few slices of cheese and deli meat. On weekends I occasionally make sausage patties with cheese or even steak and eggs.

If you're really in a time crunch Quest bars make a decent breakfast, too, or protein shakes.

My one suggestion if you're just starting out on keto is to keep it simple. Meat/vegetable. After almost 10 years of keto, I've learned simple is much better for us than complicated.

I am liking into Keto. My biggest issue is/will be breakfast. I'm up early and not wanting to mess the kitchen up then clean it before I leave at 5:30am. What kind of suggestions would a world renowned foodie as yourself have for keto breakfast ideas?

On Sunday's I make a dozen hard boiled eggs and grab 2 each morning. Fast, easy, no clean up and transportable! If I start to get burnt out on eggs @edingc suggestion of a Quest bar is a good alternative.

Went to Breakfast early Sunday morning with SWMBO.  She got her usual 2-2-2, 2 eggs, 2pancakes & pieces of BACON.  I got cheese/BACON omelette.

A couple came in and ordered Oatmeal each, then she got a side of Bacon and he topped it, double order of BACON.  Can’t make this up!!!!  Not to mention the Brown Sugar & Raisins they loaded on😱

Bacon... the crack of meat.

That's the only way oatmeal is any good.  Reminds me of the paste we had in grade school.

Lots of brown sugar needed... which I can't have much of anymore.

I never understood the fascination with grits, they're just mush. I'm from the south and find them to be an abomination.

In the navy could always tell who was north and who was south depending on if they took oatmeal or grits.

Try blueberries with a little maple syrup….might be less sugar and is realllllly good

I'm trying Monk Fruit sweetener.  Going to do some baking.
