What can I buy for $100?

STUDque

Recommended Posts

So my company just gave me a little bonus of $100 gift card for being super. I think I'll use it on something golf related.

I don't want to use it on rounds since it'll be gone quick and I'll have nothing to keep for the long term. The only equipment I'd like to get is a driving iron or a wedge set (50 54 58) but I won't be able to find those for $100 or less.

Any ideas for other stuff?

Every time I get a gift card or something for a larger amount, I always use it on something a little on the expensive side. Nothing like getting $100 off on a club or something you've been eyeballing.

Ideally the blue T7s but I've spied the RTX 2.0s also. Either way they're well more than $100

A few dozen balls is always a good thing

I've got 4 dozen AAAA balls waiting to be played. I don't burn through balls as fast as I used to. I suppose I could use this opportunity to try a new model?

First that's a great reward for hard work!

Second what do you need? If you've never had one a putter fitting followed by adjustments could shave a few strokes. Lots to be had for 100 on eBay too.

Great job! I love seeing workers rewarded.

Congrats on being Super! 😁

How about a custom leather scorecard holder or some custom headcovers?

You could find a driving iron for $100 I'm sure.

New shoes?  Clothes?  A fitting?  Bluetooth speaker for tunes on the course?  (I know, blasphemy that one)  Stock up on golf gloves?

Otherwise save it and put it towards something bigger down the line.

I'm with deejaid on the scorecard/yardage book cover. I got one from Bluegrass Fairway on Etsy and I love it. Or you could always go get yourself a couple of nice new polos. Or a battery powered jacket that keeps you warm when you're playing in 0° F weather...

Congrats. I know you said not on a round of golf. But maybe a round somewhere thst you wouldn't normally pay $100 or $150 for. Bulle Rock, Whiskey Creek or Lighthouse Sound?

I also like the Bluetooth/SoundChuck idea.

Ha! You're a funny guy. She's ready to throw her club after every swing. She did some ladies night lessons but golf just isn't for her. She makes a great in-cart caddie though.

So I've got an online shopping cart full of odds and ends but I think I'm gonna take a trip to a fitter to see what they've got to offer. Maybe I'll try a shaft fitting for driver/wedges since I've never done something like that.

I don't have any ideas. I have a bunch of amazon gift cards and can't figure out what to buy. I'll think of something and then decide I would never use whatever it is.

That's a great idea, but be prepared... I'm willing to bet it will lead to something new to bring home!!  Not a bad thing.   ;)

I'm gonna try to win an auction for a hybrid today. Wanna stay under $50 so I can save money to buy other stuff.

Wish me luck!

Woo baby won this one for $39.49 shipped. It'll match my 3 wood nicely.

FAF3E715-6914-4F83-978C-F7B6264458DA-COLLAGE.jpg

I'll order 3 of these for that hybrid, my 3 wood, and driver now that I've finally settled on settings for them. 11.49 each = 34.47.

IMG_4653.PNG

After installing the grips, I should have about $15 left for a new glove or something. If I love the hybrid, I can sell the driving iron I'm using and keep this merry-go-round going.

Hmm. I thought about checking into getting a MGS bag tag but I can't get the accessories portion of the store to open on my phone. I've even tried accessing the desktop site in chrome and safari but still no dice.
