I don't know why but I hate the new "Henley" style golf shirt the tour players are wearing now. Anyone else annoyed with that look?

Definitely not for me. If it's got some buttons at the neck it needs a collar.

 

Plus at 6'2" 230lbs, slim fit is an automatic "look elsewhere"

I don't care for it myself. I mentioned in a similar feed how I prefer the coverage a real collar gives my neck, Texas sun will do that to ya.

I just bought two of them on sale.

 

I like the look and the fit, it's nice to be able to wear something more modern looking. I also like that I can go to lunch or dinner after and meet up with friends who aren't dressed like golfers, and I don't feel out of place. Also nice to not have to worry about the end of the collar not laying flat, I hate when they curl up -- swag killer!

I kind of like how they look, but I'm not sure I like them on a golf course. I'm somewhat of a traditionalist and think it needs to have a collar on them. They are growing on me, though. At first I didn't like them at all.

So after watching this weekends tournament here are my thoughts. Jason Day and Rory look awful in these shirts! But, But Brooks Koepka looks like a lady killer in the shirt. So to wear this shirt I think you need to be apparently muscular. So may have to get one since I've been working on my fitness. IMG_3639.JPG

My golf style leans toward traditional apparel.  So Nike has always been a brand to "stay away from" for myself.  But the golf industry needs young blood, and I support anything that helps to get the youngins interested.  As for this specific shirt....looks like something George Jetson would wear.

I wore one today and I love it. I'm not muscular, but I am lean and agree that the cut and style isn't for everyone. I think day pulls it off as well as Brooks, but yeah it doesn't suit Rory. I'm one of those flat billed hats kinda people, I think it fits our style well.

I like the slimming look of Nike shirts these days. Just seems to fit nicer on me and can definitely wear it after the round elsewhere.
