Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy If you have an adjustable driver, just pop it up and take it to the range. There's no risk. If your driver isn't adjustable, don't buy a 12* driver. Just buy an adjustable one and try out settings that work for you. Generally speaking, higher loft = easier to hit straight but that isn't always the case. Peaksy68
It's certainly worth a try if you can. You may find increased loft is good for you. Be aware that with some adjustable drivers the face angle can change when increasing the loft. 849 Pro Evenflow Riptide 6.0 F8 3 & 5 Woods Project X Evenflow Blue 6.0 TS2 7 Wood Project X Evenflow Blue 6.0 MP18 MMC - Project X LZ 5.5 Zipcore Wedges 50,54,58 - Project X LZ 5.5 MLA Tour Mallet 33" Z Star Pioneer bag buggy

hckymeyer
Play the driver loft that fits your swing and AoA - plain and simple. Nailed it. If 12 degrees is what works best for your swing then go for it. If it's not then it will be just another failed experiment. Have you considered getting fit? goaliewales14
A few weeks ago I raised my driver from 10 degrees to 11.5 because I made a mistake when I was looking at the settings. I was wanting 10.5. I didn't really find it that much easier to hit than when it was at 10. The big thing was that I was getting absolutely no roll. It launched like I hit a wedge on a perfectly center strike. When I was fit for the driver we were going back and forth between 10 and 10.5. I would seriously consider getting fit if you're thinking of that much of a change. It may even be worth taking a lesson or 2. Hitting it straighter could be as simple as a grip change. HarveyDiamond
My thought was to simply gain a higher trajectory, and hopefully a bit more distance. To be very truthful my current driver was built and fit to me and I have had great success with it. I hit the ball straight 90%+ of the time. I think the best thing is to grateful for what I have and not tinker. Thanks for the wisdom and the comments. Oh, one last thought, I began playing ProV1 balls and saw a significantly lower ball flight. I switched back to NXT Pro S, and my ball flight returned to normal. Perhaps that ProV1 experience is what got me thinking of changing loft. Does a ball normally make that big of a difference? Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy it can, sorta depends on the person and the ball model. I can see differences with wedge shots on a few models but not quite as much on the longer irons so it's different. As far as the loft adjustments go I'm big on spin and launch angle numbers for determining that sort of thing, the pro I take lessons from has monitors that I'll use for that on occasion. It sounds like you have a swing speed below 100mph. If so, it's quite reasonable to expect a little more help getting the ball up there will improve your drive. It's all fun anyways, give it a go, if it helps, great! If not, go back to what you had!
