chemclub
Nice start CG2 (are you going to get us some hard numbers on a GC2 - terrible joke - don't even answer that) Are all of the clubs Hot Metals? From your pics, it looks like the set progresses a bit. It looks like Mizuno did a nice job making the GW look more like a classical wedge shape. Is there a lot of progression in the design from long iron to short to wedge. Sorry if this is stealing from your stage 2 review. If the answer is in your stage 2 feel free to ignore this post Sure! Thanks for the question. I'll have more data in Stage 2. But I certainly can pass on info from the eye test They launch HIGH. Too high? That remains to be seen with more time with them. I'm a high ball hitter by nature. But I can say the higher lofted end such as 8-P are higher flying than the 8-P in my Z765's. Not by a mile, but certainly noticiable. There has been only one instance where I think it was noticeably affected by being too high. On a 135 yard par 3, I hit a very solid 8 into a bit of a breeze. I hit it about as solid as I can. Halfway there I thought it was going to be all over the flag. Then it just fell out of the air -Like the turkeys in the WKRP in Cincinnati Thanksgiving promotion --you young guys will have to YouTube that onea good 15 yards short of the green. I was pretty shocked. But that's the only one so far that has been adversely effected. For the record I have KBS C-Taper LT 110 G Regular flex. Nippon Modus 105 in the Srixon. Hope that helps. Several times a round I find myself only able to say "WOW" as the ball rockets away from me.Yep. I learned a couple years ago. For most of us average amateurs, we can't hit a ball too high if that makes since. More true with the driver than irons likely. But I think the thought holds true with them. I've played with some friends who hit medium to low iron shots and have trouble getting them to hold some greens. So I'll take too high over too low. If interested, people might want to keep an eye on the FS section for a set of gently used Srixon 565/765 irons I sold my Srixon Z765 and replaced them with the JPX 900 tour. I wish I had bought the Srixon Z965 but I bought the Z765 thinking of more forgiveness I found they felt lovely and soft but I did not get on with the thicker soles. The JPX 900 tours are a fantastic club I have no trouble with forgiveness but I am quick a good ball striker. rouge subzero Fujikura Evo 2 shaft F2 3 wood Mitsubishi rayon 818.21 hybrid Even flow black Ben Hogan irons apex 4 shafts S18 wedges 50/54/58 Cameron and Crown M1

What swing characteristics do you think mid-high handicappers MUST have before considering these head styles? Sent from carrier pigeon using MyGolfSpy To be honest, I'm of the school of fitting and confidence. I need to be able to stand above a ball at address and feel confident in what I'm swinging. Personally, the way the club sets up to the ball and looks at address is a mental confidence thing. Being fit properly also helps give me the confidence that what I'm swinging is the BEST I can put together (within reason of course)for my game. So in short, I don't necessarily think that there is a certain swing characteristic that a golfer needs to possess, however, through a fitting process I think you'll be able to determine pretty quickly whether a thinner or blade style iron will be able to work for your game or not compared to more of a GI iron style.
