The Honey Badger by Two Talents Design

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, The honey badger is the world's most fearless animal, so I figured it deserved its own putter, (plus it's the name of my annual 3 club tourney)

Drawing from a few different widebody blades and half mallets, this bit of putting badassery was designed, built and assembled by Kevin "Two Talents" Hartwig out of Colorado Springs. Finished in matte black PVD, the Honey Badger is 385 grams of carbon steel, with a slight toe hang, a 71° lie, 1/2 shaft offset and custom designed alignment aid. The face is horizontally Milled and framed with Kevin's 2T logo on the heel.

The shaft is powder coated black and the i installed my own grip I had, a 3 degree forward leaning Press grip from Bill Presse at Directed Force Putters, but I am not 100% sure it will be staying.

 

Early Prototyping had "honey" on the left and "badger" on the right bumpers, but i decided against it as to not distract my eye.

 

 

 

Inspired by Kronos' Metronome alignment, the top line and flange lines flow continuously when you are standing directly over the ball and sweet spot, making it easy to square up the putter head. The flange alignment lines can also be left naked and blend into the overall bumper design.

Due to the PVD finish, there's a very soft "click" when the Ball kisses the sweet spot, giving audio feedback on true putts. If the Ball strokes off center, not much distance or accuracy is lost, but the feel is definitely softer.

While the sole can appear to be be a little bit busy, Kevin designed a sweet little honey badger logo for the left, and I helped with the overall layout, picking the text and fonts and paying tribute to it being made in Colorado, and it's mass.

I chose bold colors, but it looks good all black, and just a colored Colorado flag.

 

He also included a sweet brushes stainless steel ball marker with the Honey Badger logo on one side and his Two Talents logo on the other

It was a really fun design process, about 3 months start to finish.

The head cover is be Delilah Harvey at girlygolfer.com. Everything turned out amazing
