If you want to see a real disaster, flip to the Skins game.

I did

I know there is always the temptation to overreact. But I went from hopes of maybe 10-6 to thinking 6-10 will be likely at best.

I mean after all this was Philly

I was waiting for the football discussion to die out.

So far so good. Eye will be over us in 2 hours.

Wind & rain relentless for last few hours. I think I lost a few trees but was sick of trimming them back all the time anyway.

Haven't heard from Kev & Foz for quite a while.

This baby is headed your way Gray, hope it loses some of it's meanness

Yea we have a tropical storm warning which will dump heavy mounts of rain and strong winds.  We're on the east side of the storm's path so tornado spin offs are possible which always is a concern.  I hope you all who have loss power will get it back up and running soon.

One word jumps out at me about these reporters.

Saw pictures of looting also. That's just sad. I dunno if it happened in Texas (I didn't see any news of it) but if you loot I hope the law catches you quickly and puts you under the jail.

This storm was not fun, we were extremely lucky. We lost some trees not a big deal, home across the street lost 1/2 his shingles's and a small portion of roof.

The golf course on the other side is under water (finally got my island green) another 5" rain and I would have an indoor pool.

Some folks really got battered but only property and can be fixed.

Hope Kev, Foz & Zyem are OK.

Tampa caught some crap.

Still rain and windy.

Our property in Miami faired pretty well, but will not have power for a few days at least.  Our resort in Bimini did not hold up well at all.  Trying to figure out how to get into the island to assess damage and aid with recovery for the island.  The pictures that I have seen so far from the island do not paint a great picture.

Not bad here yet, We are close to Athens, Ga. and although we are getting some strong wind gusts and blowing rain no tornado spin offs.  My son lives in Macon, Ga. and they are getting slammed pretty hard.

I hope he is OK as well.  But from knowing the area (having lived down there) and talking to some friends who live not far from him and hearing their reports, I'm sure he's ok.  But maybe out checking on the church or helping set up some shelter or aid for his parishioners and the community.

Yeah we had part of the eye wall come right over us. It was a long no sleep kind of night. Glad to hear some one caught up with revkev and that all the other FL members are ok.

My wife and I would like to thank everyone here for all the thoughts and prayers. I know I am the new guy here and I want to let you all know my family as well as I really appreciate the warm welcoming I have received here. Thank you all for allowing me to join your family.

Once all the dust settles here we will all have to have a central Florida meet up so I can finally put a face to all these names.
