Detroit Lions, and we are likely NOT going to win the Super Bowl. We are exciting to watch, but still need to figure out how to win some of these bigger games. Over the last couple years we have figured out how to win some games, just not the big ones, nevertheless I continue to root for them in hopes of some wins.

As usual on a Sunday I turned to the Red Zone, because it is difficult for me to watch an entire Redskins game, just need to know how bad it is.   Didn't watch the end of the late games, because the single matches for the Walker Cup were being televised.   I knew the Ravens were doing well because I could hear the wife cheering in the other room.

In the last Super Bowl in which the Redskins played, their opponents were the Bills.   (Unfortunately, it was the last Super Bowl the Redskins will play for some time, yet).  The wife and I watched the game in a sports bar on Paradise Island.   We happened to join several Redskin fans and there were several Bills fans sitting at the bar.   Our companions kept asking do you know why they call them Bills, it stands for Boy, I Love Losing Super Bowls.   Many of the Bills fans were not there for the second half.

... Not so fast. Bears defense might have one of the best front 7's in football. The secondary is also much improved. The running attack is effective and impossible to stop unless you stack the box and force Glennon to beat you. Which the Falcon's did. And he can't. Gonna be a rough year for us Bear's fans until Trubisky takes over.

The O-line has been so bad for so long if we actually got one that was even mediocre we would be unstoppable.. that would give WIlson like a full second and a half to get rid of the ball.. with all that time-----BOOOM it would blow my mind.. LOL

I'm not a fan of football but I love when the season starts especially when the packers and Vikings start at different times. That means the course will be EMPTY!!

 

The Vikings had the Monday night game and I got 18 done in 2:26!

Between the departure of the Colts and the arrival of the Ravens, Baltimore had a CFL team, the Stallions.   The wife and I were season ticket holders.   I must admit that I really enjoyed the games.  Moreover, the Stallions won the Gray Cup in their second year.   Perhaps, a good trivia question:  What American city had football teams that have won both the Super Bowl and the Gray Cup.--Baltimore

Growing up in Ontario you had the choice of the Bills, Lions or Packers. Easy choice I think. Now of course you get to see all the games so the options are better. Never watched much Canadian football, very different game.
