Stuck in the bag: What won't you update in 2018?

I have to admit I think I finally got my bag right! Dont think I'll get rid of anything this season

If I had a nickel for every time I've heard/thought that......

That goes right on the list with "I think I've finally figured out my driver for good"

My old TM Mid Rescue's 2, 3, 4 & 5 will not leave my bag for a long time yet.

I have tried to replace them a few times but, they always end up back in the bag.

They were so nicked and scratched that I just removed all paint. They are now solid silver metal.

Driver - Callaway 2015 gbb - secure

3w - cobra f7- secure

Irons - srixon i701 tour - change possible

Wedges - titleist sm5 - change needed

Putter - cleveland classic 1 - most consistent, best feeling putter I have hit (and I've hit a lot).

Also looking into a hybrid to try out, never had one but hit my buddy's every now and then and I like it, just have to find one I like and get fitted.

You'd probably wanna start your hybrid search with the F7 since you're already secure with the 3W. It took me a while to get that through my stubborn head as I tried a few hybrids and driving irons before I wised up and just got a matching hybrid. I'm glad I did because that little guy stings the ball nicely.

Well there is not much room for revisions....

Driver: Wilson Staff Triton quite probably the best I have ever gamed

Fairways: Cobra F6 3/4 and Cobra F6 4-5 Baffler .....nope these aren't going anywhere.

Hybrid: currently none in bag BUT I game a Cobra Bio Cell 2-3 when I pull the 3-4 wood out and adjust the Baffler to a 4 wood.

Irons: Ben Hogan Ptx 4-PW ...nope, these aren't going anywhere either.

Wedges: Ben Hogan Tkt 49/53/57...nope these aren't going anywhere.

Putter: currently gaming SC Kombi but am working my Evnroll E6 back into the bag. I lost confidence this summer but know it is the best.

I had no interest in the Wilson Triton but I was in Dick's Sporting Goods a few days ago and they had them brand new on the clearance rack for $75. For that price, I couldn't resist. After hitting it on the range exceptionally well yesterday, I took a sick day from work today to try it on the course with a buddy. I had one of my best driving days of the year. I didn't hit it longer than anything else I've had in the bag, but it was the most consistent driving I might have ever had. It seems to be anti-hook for me which I love and I found so many fairways. I may have found my new gamer for $75! Great driver!!

Pretty happy with my bag right now, but I did spend an hour in a golf store today contemplating a new driver just because! Probably not swapping much next year, just adding a 3 wood possibly. Any recommendations for a solid fairway wood that will probably be used more often off the tee on tight courses?

The only club that might leave the bag next year is driver.  Everything else stays.  You will have to pry them from my cold dead hands.

I've changed a *LOT* of clubs around the past few seasons, but going into '18 I'm definitely keeping....

• 4 Hybrid - XR 2015 model

• Putter - MLA Tour XDream

Happy with my irons .. those are probably staying; woods - 3 and 5 - are probably staying; and happy with my wedges .. but those could change over the course of a season.

Two gaps in the bag to fill in....

• Didn't carry a driver most of the season, and if I did I didn't even use it;

• 5i vs Ping G Crossover 5 - was alternating between the two but lately seem to prefer the Crossover. Of course it's possible that next year it gets "upgraded" to the newer, shinier model :-)

Think I am sticking with what's there:

GBB Epic HZRDUS t-800 stiff

* first time in a long time have no desire to change although the club ho in me wants to put an evnflow in it —any thoughts appreciates.

GBB Epic 3 wood

818 H2 19 — new to the lineup but a beast off the deck

Srixon U65 3 iron. Used mostly off the tee when I need something straight. Absolutely flies but can't really work it off the deck.

Srixon 765 4-AW KBS tour

SM6 54

CBX 58

Put the EVNROLL ER5 back in play. Been going back and forth with the TiFi Cero

Got fit for Driver, irons, putter this year so I should really stick with it all....but I just dunno if I can do that....the temptation is so strong!

D: Cobra F7+... this one is a gamer; 100 in the bag

3- TEE .... this one is 50/50

3h - TEE ... I like this club 80/20

4h - Titleist... I like this too 80/20

irons - Sterling single length.... I go back/forth on these; the single length were a bit of an experiment this year & the verdict is still out....60/40

wedges - Ping Glide 2.0... I like these; 100 in the bag

putter - did a fitting and got an Odyssey #9 style.... might try a diff one.... 60/40

Edel wedges and putter. Nothing else is ever safe. I highly doubt this driver I have can ever be beaten. That is LIKELY to stay for awhile! Irons are on the hot-seat with less than a 50% GIR for the year.

As beautiful as the MP-18 line is, the JPX 900s are staying in the bag unless I somehow get lucky (again) and get a set without having to open the wallet. A combo set of SC/MB is the dream. I'm sold on Mizuno for life and I owe it all to MGS.

Nothing else is safe, maybe the Epic, but in a different shaft.

Driver is a 2017 M1 with x-stiff Fuji Pro. Nothing else has been close so it's staying.

3 wood is a 2017 M2 with a stiff Fuji Pro. It's too long at times. This one may go in favor of a 917.

Hybrid is as dependable as a wedge and staying. A 915 Hd.

Irons are 716 AP2's and also have a set of Adams MB2's which are just too hard to let go so irons are set.

Wedges are Vega's in raw finish and not going anywhere. They feel amazing.

Putter changes from week to week and this will definitely be changing. Trying to narrow down the options I keep around and really want to find something that fits.

My irons and fairway wood are definitely staying in the bag for the foreseeable future. The only reason why I'm not keeping my wedges is because the grooves are wearing out pretty quickly.

Only change for now was the weak spot and that was my hybrid. Ditched the 816 H1 for an 818 H2 with a Tensei white (hell of a shaft for a stock offering). So far it is a winner off the deck and off the tee. One other change was putting the 712u 3 iron back in because I need it off the tee on several holes at my club. Overall liking what I am playing....for now anyway.

Cobra F6 3W is not leaving either. Neither is my Cobra Bio Cell 2-3 Hybrid.
