White year round for me. I played with a lady one time in the winter a few years ago. She had a gold colored ball. Well, against dormant Bermuda you can never find them even in the fairway! I finally asked her to switch after a few holes of searching.

The volviks Matte finish golf balls, (don't remember the actual name) are great for fall golf. The matte white stood out so clearly and even in the sun there was no glare and very easy to distinguish.

Those would be the Volvik Vivids, and I really want to play some of those.

The volvik Red are my go to in spring and fall, then switch to white in the summer months. I lose too many no matter the color

I actually find yellow balls harder to find in the fall - with the leaves being yellow and orange and all...

Similar problem here in the Northeast .. everything gets harder to find! (Leaves and the lower sun angle.) White _seems_ to stick out a little better.

I have found that any ball, no matter the color, is quite easy to find in the middle of freshly mown fairways.   ;)

I wish I could "like" this twice. I always say this to myself when I'm having trouble finding a ball "well it would've been a lot easier to find in the fairway"

Nothing shows up at my home course in the fall like a bright pink ball.  Watch some of the ladies play with them and you can see those balls a mile away.  The Truvis works pretty well in this regard too.  Yellow balls can get hard to see against leaves and dormant bermuda grass.  Oranges can show up well but again among the leaves they can get hard to spot.  I stick with the white balls since the ball I prefer doesn't come in other colors.

Up here, if you're trying to sneak in a round after work you'd better have a lighted ball by the eighth hole. I have wished they made better ones.

he best players don't get overwhelmed with mechanical thoughts as they stand over the ball. They pick one feel-based thought and go with it. Steal one of these tour thoughts for some pre-swing clarity.
