Nicknames for your clubs

Was thinking that this would be a fun thread topic, but I see that @Berg Ryman beat me to it by a couple of years, so let's do a

Throwback Thursday Thread!

Anyone have some good nicknames for your clubs? I'd assume that drivers and putters are most named clubs in the bags. For a while, Kirke and I decided that his driver would be named Balrog, which I think is a great driver name that might need to be revived. Still not sure if the name is from this guy:

...or this guy:

Image result for balrog sf"

I think either one works well as a driver.

I only have one name...  *@#%&!

However, the name moves from club to club depending on the day or shot.

Only two club in my bag have nicknames. My driver is named Oh-No, as in Oh No, should of went with a wood. Lastly, my 5 wood. It is probably 10 years old, nicknamed Ol 'Reliable. I can cut it or draw it, flight it, bump and run, or whenever I loose the "feel" I can go back to Ol' Reliable off the box and punch it 240 into the fairway.

Me as well - you would not want Kirke calling his clubs by the same name that I might slip and call mine.

Titleist Pro VIx optic yellow with revkev stamped on them

Tour Exotics 3 wood is in the bag because we are allowed 14 clubs.  It's a great club for pulling balls out of the water or from bushes - you never want to put your hand into anything in Florida unless you are absolutely certain that it's safe.  There are rare wind conditions when I might hit it off the tee on a few holes that I play.

I gamed the Ping Anser driver for a couple of years. The all black scheme (and unpredictability...) earned it the nickname ’Darth Driver’.
May bring that one back for the PXG when it arrives.

I call my driver $#-!head quite often, playing partners think I’m talking about myself but why would it ever be my fault.  It’s always the clubs fault.

While I don't have any nicknames yet, a coworker of mine who's not on this forum calls his special edition Cobra Driver "Emerald City" due to it's particular shade of green.

My putter has an assortment of names and is roommates with a collection of part time performers.  I frequently ask myself why I hangout with any of them.

Someone had given me a like on this thread so I checked it out and see it had been bumped. So I have some new clubs in the front line bag since then not many but a few.

Driver Honma G-1 X----  Hiro Honma or Mr Homna

I have added 2 different Adams hybrids since then both different models but I call them "Little Funkys" because all hybrids look funky to me. I refer to them as the 19 Funky and the 22 Funky

I have the same Adams 16* Fairway I have had for some time and I finally named it "Boomer"

Driver ---- TM M-6 Evenflow 65 G R flex---- 3 wood TM V-Steel Aldila 65G R Flex--- 7 Wood TM V-Steel UST Pro Force 65 R flex---  Irons 5 thru PW 2016 TM TP CBs Steelfiber 95 R--- GW Callaway Mack Daddy2 52* Stock regular shaft--- SW Callaway Mack Daddy PM grind modified to 10* bounce KBS wedge shaft R---- Putter Scotty Sante Fe fluted Bulls Eye shaft you seriously think it was going anywhere? Bag Old School Burton Mini Staff non demontional no advertising

I don't name my clubs.  Since my name is printed on the [golf] balls, however, I call them by my own name while they're in flight.

Get Down, Boomer, Get Down you stupid ball!

Sometimes "stupid ball" is replaced with the M-F word, unfortunately.

When I hit a good shot into the green no matter what club it is I call it “Be right”. Of if I am not sure it the distance is correct I will call it “get up”, or “get down”
