Over the years, an activity that I have enjoyed is volunteering when professional tournaments are held in my area. While I have worked in multiple roles for all of the available tours, my typical assignment has been the practice area. When Quicken Loans pulled its sponsorship last year for the National tournament at TPC Potomac, I wasn't sure if it would be played this year. Well, it is being played and I have been assigned to the Media Center for the first time. It will be a new experience for me and look forward to it. Add to that, the fact that Tiger has stated that he will play.

My wife and I volunteer at two events held at our club - PGA regional qualifier and the other is a ladies collegiate event (typically ladies from 13 college participate). We also hosted a couple of the gals at our house - very well mannered players.

Hit my first shots on grass today!!! Shoulder felt good enough for some 50 yard sand wedge softies. Getting some excellent ball first contact, so much that I was backing up some Z - Stars on the gravel road!!

 

Not quite ready for a full swing or even a 3/4 swing yet, but it felt dang good to center that wedge!!

The stars did not align for the wife and I to have children.   But my buds tell me that nothing can bring more joy than "daddy's little girl".

The stars did not align for the wife and I to have children.   But my buds tell me that nothing can bring more joy than "daddy's little girl". 

Until she becomes a teenager - then look out for the next 7 or 8 years.  But then they becomes Daddy's girl again - you just have to live through those years.

Yup, pretty much. But the 6 year old going to be great for next 5-6 years.

Haha... I wish... You never know but I'm just returning from golfing for a week in Oregon so I probably won't get a hall pass... Only 2 courses on the island - either about 270 for 18 or 130 for 9...

They do have a casino though.

Saw your Pronghorn post that place can't be cheap. Same owner as a resort here and it's like $190 for 18 for non residents
