Popular Post null
I am just thankful to be healthy. Today is one year to the day that my appendix ruptured. First hospital misdiagnosed me and was released 3 days later. A week later I found myself in a different hospital. Finally got everything under control. Lost 20 lbs (I was only 155 lbs to begin with). With all of the testing and procedures I had, I found a great group of doctors that helped me identify some longer term issues I have been dealing with and I was formally diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I am now receiving the appropriate medication and my quality of life is better than it has been in years. Everything I went through gave me a new perspective on life and what was important to me and how I am going to carry myself.I joined a gym, I am working out regularly and I am in the best shape of my life. I am being the best father and husband I can be. I am working my ass off at my job while maintaining a great work/life balance. I am actually taking steps to getting better at golf rather than just saying I want to get better at golf. It was a crazy year for me, but right now I am living my best life and I will continue to do so. Will be playing Pacific Dunes and Bandon Dunes courses. Also hoping that he backs out of another trip with clients to Pebble Beach where they are playing Pebble, Spanish Bay, Del Monte, and Spyglass. Bad news: i bet my chances to play a lot of golf are going to be going down drastically! Congrats! As a new parent I will say its an incredible ride in so many ways! That being said golf and an infant is tough, I took about 4 months off playing after she was born. You settle into a routine fairly quickly though. I'm lucky enough to have a club in between my home and work. So now when its nice I go hit balls during lunch to get my fix during the week without giving up extra time with the two of them. Then I play once a weekend at the time that she told me was best, (usually when they are both napping ) and it all works out. I'll also add to just be willing to give up that golf outing if its been a rough week or a rough few nights...Its worth it and it'll likely mean alot more to your wife than that round of golf was going to mean to you. PING Apologist #9
Life is weird... Stupid drawer-style microwave (Sharp brand "high" end) died Monday after only lasting 14-months. For those of you who like metrics, that's roughly $100/month of service life. Stupid POS... I have to meet with a repairman today. Did I mention that Sharp makes a POS microwave? Oh and Sharp? YOU SUCK!!! Then I had a terrible argument last evening with my wife & daughter that ended with the standard: "I'm 13 and don't need to be told what to do" BS. I'm still fuming... But because life is indeed weird with all of it's ups & downs, today is just filled with all sorts of goodies involving golf... Received email confirmations from UPS to expect both my new 60* wedge & some swag from the Wedge Wizard (it's been 8-months...) Received an email confirmation from Encore Golf that my free sleeve of Encore Elixrs has been shipped via USPS Then to top all that, I wind up being selected to test the new PING G410 SFT driver for MGS!!!
