They didn’t have to give them to you, could have tried to get a couple bucks so good on them.

After two weeks of arranging a lift and a trailer to haul brush, I’ve finally cleared away 6 mature Maples from my house. Don’t let anyone tell you that cutting down trees is easy work...and as far as golf goes, they’re definitely not 90% air.

The original builder and owners of the home we now live in loved trees. When we moved in, there were 16 mature maple, Linden and pine trees around the property. They severely limited sun and airflow and it was taking a toll on my shingles.

You've definitely put in some hard labor clearing those trees. I'm sore after just reading that post, but the results you got definitely look good. I spent yesterday clearing some property of high grass and small trees and the soreness is real. I'm extremely thankful for my buddy, Ryan, showing up with his mower and basically bush hogging way more than I expected...with a Troy Bolt Pony. There's a photo right below@tommc23 quote, I couldn't get it to post here for some reason.

It's official I'm a home owner

Congrats! That's a beautiful home and I hope you and your family make many wonderful memories there.

Probably wondering why this is in the happy thread, but for the remainder of the year I’ll only be practicing on Sundays, and playing every other week.

My wife and I have decided to take some online college together. More on that at a later time. All I’ll say for now is that we are super excited... so I’ve been out of college for a good long time, and I am going to need all the time I can get to make sure I do well.

My days will start at 5am, with a short 30 minute workout (yoga mostly). Then whatever school work I can done in 45 minutes before I have to get ready for work. Work at 7. Course work at lunch. Home to help the kids with school work, dinner at 6... course work from 6-10.

Busy busy busy. But it will all be worth it in a few years. I’m sitting at 114 credits, but I’ll have to take 90 for the major I want, and then a Masters degree...

I’ve been sitting around stagnant for far too long. Time to get back on the horse.

I’ll keep you all updated, if I am ever awake.

That’s great! Good luck to both of you (and the kids) on this journey. We know you’ll do great.
Good luck and givem hell!

Thanks Rick. Going to need it. In the winter I won’t mind so much... sunset is really early on this coast in the middle of Dec/Jan/Feb/Mar.

You right about sunset, we lived in CT for 65 dark years. Good time to do your class work.

Takes a lot of commitment to complete a degree even part time. I've got three or four classes left to finish my Master's degree, and it takes every bit of my mental capacity just to get through one class per semester. I took an online class over the summer and it was a chore!

I finally got one room of my house painted only took a week with all the stuff I had to do. Had to strip one wall of peeling wall paper, fix messed up paint from lowes, get window sills ready. and taping off all the wood they had in the room. I'm happy to have one of the three rooms I want to paint right away done.

Preparation takes the longest time but a must for a successful - good looking paint job.

Very proud of my daughter and her team in their last season of junior basketball, with a big win in the final. She saved her best for the pointy end of the season, after struggling with her shot for a while she finished as her teams top scorer for the last 2 finals. A fitting reward for lots of hard work over the years.

Yaz was my all time favorite player. I saw Ted Willams play but I was too young and he was at the end of his career so I didn’t appreciate him.
