Electricity was turned off on a Tuesday night and finally restored to our house yesterday afternoon. The little things in life like being able to run a coffee maker in the morning. That’s what I’m happy about!

This is why I use a French press no need for the coffee maker to be on electric

One of my daughters basketball team mates has just signed with Stanford. She had to decide between Stanford, Boston, Texas and Duke.

Obviously she's a seriously talented player, but also a lovely girl and has always been encouraging and supportive of her teammates, despite being the best player on the team by a significant margin.  A freakishly athletic girl who has worked hard at both her game and studies.

Any of you interested in NCAA Women's Basketball, keep an eye out for Agnes Emma-Nnopu. She's come a long way from a small country town in  Victoria, Australia.

We’ll look for her especially if they play UCONN.

A friend of mine won a radio station contest for The Open - 4 nights lodging and 3 rounds of golf in Myrtle Beach. By this time tomorrow we will be on the road. Weather looks a little iffy for Wednesday morning, but so far the rest of the week looks great. We are staying at Barefoot Resort and playing the Dye, Fazio, and Love courses and plan to fit in a 4th or 5th round somewhere else. I'm playing some pretty decent golf right now (for me) and hope that it continues....

Congrats - especially this time of year between falling leaves, high winds and colder temps indexes either stay the same or go up a bit like mine. I'm about 7/10's.

On a short holiday week.

Off until next Wednesday.

We are heading to Yorktown/Williamsburg/Jamestown this weekend to check out HallowScream and Colonial Williamsburg all dressed up for the season.

Might sneak in a round... where should I play. We are staying near Busch Gardens.

How much you want to spend, how far of a drive, and what quality level of a course are you looking for?

Some options: Colonial heritage, Kiskiack, Deer Run, Brickshire, Vinirerra, Fords Colony, Golden Horseshoe. Kiln Creek.

Get to Howl-o-scream early, it gets really crowded.

I’d like to stay under $75 if possible, and not more than 20 minute drive. I’ve played Kiln Creek.

Is that Williamsburg National any good? Just the first place that popped up when I did a search.

Thanks for the tip on the Screaming thing.

Haven’t played Williamsburg national in a long time. Was decent but I would pick colonial heritage over it. Depending on time of day, all will be under your price. Most in peak time will be as well.

No problem on the Busch comment, I drove by last Saturday about 2:00 and the line to get in was backed up to the interstate which would mean 30+ minutes just to get to the gate to pay to park.

A little late on this but got the opportunity to sneak in a round with @Kor.A.Door and @SteddyGolf on Monday for golf tournament benefiting a local private autism center.  Couldn't have asked for two nicer and more talented guys to play golf with.  This is my second round with Korey and the first with Tim.  I had an absolute blast with these guys!

I haven’t made here yet to post. Absolutely the best time. It was great, we actually played pretty well, but could not make very many putts. Steddy and JonSmalls are some pretty nice gentlemen to play golf with. I had a great time, and look forward to doin it again sometime.

Yup, Sugar Bomb!
That was nothing compared to tonight.
It was a Halloween/Birthday party max. They had 2 bartenders and probably 80 people in their house. SWMBO and I had a great time.
I won’t be 72 again

With all I have going on with work I made the decision a month ago to bail on playing Pebble Beach tomorrow and instead I booked my wife and I in Nashville for the weekend. Uneventful flight in and a sky suite at the JW Marriott. Much needed time away for just the two of us as I have lost sight lately of all that I have good in my life.

Well, the opening of the bar was a success. We had issues, which we worked through, including a stopped up toilet which led to the drain in the bar flooding twice. Made a bit of money in tips and hope to build on that.
