Happy thread

Been less than active around here lately for several reasons, none of which having to do with any of you.

I herniated the space between L4&L5 and haven’t been able to golf since early August.  Just a bummer since this is the absolute best time to play on the NE.  Team that up with a  constant cycle of vitriol everywhere you look and I can say without reserve that this past week has been the best in months.  

My wife, daughter and I took our first vacation since December to Lake Placid.  That was good for the happy thread

A few things to be happy about.
 
We’re coming out of lockdown and I got to take my daughter out for a drink 

 
Got my stitches out and everything is good. Next step is I’ve been referred to the statewide clinic that does nothing but look at people with skin issues like mine

 
Lastly, my wife and I got away for a couple of nights for the first time in about 6 months. Went down to Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, a couple of hours drive from home.For any of you thinking of having a trip to Australia it’s a must do. It was almost surreal how quiet it was, with Melbourne still locked down and no interstate or international visitors. 
The views from our accommodation was stunning.

Happy National daughter day to my caddy and my youngest child. She is my zen on the course and my future Senior Circuit looper.

My neighbors agreed to help me out with the rip-rap situation.  The state offers 0% funding opportunities if more than one property owner wants to get the work done.  The neighbors south of me already did it, and the neighbors directly north of me want nothing to do with it.  But, a few houses down they are getting the rocks done.

Recently I had a love /relationship with my driver - I kept skying the ball 3-4 times a round. Took a lesson a couple of weeks ago and my instructor immediately figured out the issue. On my last three rounds, I've been hammering the ball right down the middle. Now I've got to work on the rest of the bag

My youngest son was out hitting bombs in the yArd today with his driver.  He comes in and said dad... I need a new wedge.  

Hes been listening to me!!  Thataboy! 
 

So now I am looking for a wedge for a 6 year old.

Share please!  I hit 3, what I would call good drives today; 2 on the front nine and shot even par; i on the back nine and shot +8.  

I don't sky the ball though, so your fix probably won't help me.  Dang!

Waterfront, The prevailing waves are from the south, neighbors put the rocks in and destroyed my property in short.

not decorative for sure, I can’t stand the way they look.  A necessity now thanks to the neighbors.  They didn’t do their research, and the project was started before I bought the place.

It was related to 2 things: my backswing - too steep and I had all of my weight on my heels.

Got home today from a trip out west and spent tonight playing guitar with my son to patriotic country songs. Haven’t had this much fun with guitar since college. My son’s dream is a commission to West Point so there were some tears. Not to mention I have barely touched a guitar since college.

Just wanted to say thanks to the MGS forum. This last week has been one for the books. My entire family has COVID and our daughter's 3rd birthday was Saturday. I started the weed pretty down, but this community has been huge for me. @fixyurdivot sent me a driver to replace my 20 year old stick on my quest to pass the PAT, thr forum selected me as a tester, and so many wonderful members have helped take my mind off of whats going on. We actually packed our kids up in the car and took them on a tour of Halloween lights for the oldest birthday, and I have had some great time with them. All of that said, you guys have really taken a bad week and turned it into a good one, and I'm so thankful. Thanks for reading my posts and interacting. It has been great. I look forward to paying it back over time however I can, and I'm grateful to you all for the hospitality and community!
