In the past 72 hours, we drove 1000 miles, slept only 11,but I got to cuddle with this pretty little lady for a couple of days.

I can relate, we drove almost 1200 miles to see our new grandson.

Great news, after weeks of dealing with mice in the house my German shepherd took care of the last one and tried to hand it to me this morning. So no more mice eating all my junk food in the pantry

I got a new job that is much better than my current one.easy not to be grateful during these times but I have a lot to be thankful for. Also, almost done with our home addition and have a great family to share it with.

Happy that i was able to sign my wife up for a covid vaccine for next week. It has been a challenge to figure out if she was eligible and how to make an appointment. All "healthcare workers" in WA state are eligible now, but she is a nursing student and there was no information out there on how and where she could get the vaccine.

We used to have a chocolate lab that was a "mouser"....

By "mouser" I mean she would catch them and gently carry them around in her mouth and drop them at your feet. Not a terribly effective method to get rid of them. I assume it was the retriever in her.

My Great Dane solved the squirrel problem I had at my house. Amazing how they went away once she caught one.

When our kids were very young, my mom watched them while we were at work. The first time the dog caught a mouse, my mom left me a voicemail at work. I wish I could accurately describe the tone of her panic-stricken voice - "...Whopper is running around with a mouse tail hanging out of her mouth, ahhhhhh."

I converted the voicemail to an mp3 and played it for our whole family. They got a kick out if. Even my mom laughed after her heart rate returned to normal.

That's a fast Great Dane!  

She actually caught it in the air. The squirrel was trying to make a leap off the swing set to a tree and the dog went up and got him. Good part was she didn’t hurt the squirrel and just dropped it after a few seconds. Now they don’t wreck my yard and she doesn’t chase them anymore. I guess they now have a mutual understanding.

Watching this kid shoot is just fantastic. Had a 50% day on 50 targets but not bad for a novice. He learns more every time we go out.

I was thinking the same thing.  My daughter just had a class in Government. She would read her test questions out loud. I would have failed.

I wouldn't.  This isn't meant to be political,  but I am fascinated by all the recent things going on with the government on how they are trying to apply the constitution and the various processes.   Having attended several events my company does periodically I have had the opportunity to hear quite a few politicians speak and I feel privileged to hear them speak no matter their political leanings.

I wouldn't.  This isn't meant to be political,  but I am fascinated by all the recent things going on with the government on how they are trying to apply the constitution and the various processes.   Having attended several events my company does periodically I have had the opportunity to hear quite a few politicians speak and I feel privileged to hear them speak no matter their political leanings.  

I know what you mean. I was very political in 70’s thru early 90’s mostly due to work responsibilities. Some of it was rewarding & fun but Don’t miss a minute of it.

I'm too, very fascinated with the state of things right now, I've not spent much time with politicians, but I'm still very interested on the process and to see how things turn out. 

I don't think I will ever forget all I had to learn, also I love history in general, so it was not a chore to study and sharpen my knowledge.
