Celebrating my 5th wedding anniversary today. I’ve been thinking of how quickly it went by and while we were planning, it was so much emphasis on making it my wife’s special day. 
 

For anyone who hasn’t or is hoping to get married soon I want to say one thing. Weddings are certainly all about the spouse but don’t lose sight of the fact that this is one of the only times, maybe the only, where you’ll be surrounded by your favorite people in the world. It’s special and do whatever you can to soak it all in before your liver soaks up a bottle of champagne

Congrats man!  We will be celebrating 14!!! On June 12th... wow I’m getting old.

And to note: I’ve only seen 4 people from our wedding party of 14 in the last 14 years that isn’t family.

Some of the best news of my life just came in the form of a phone call.  I may be getting old... but there is a waiver for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !! !!!!! !!!!!!

It's kinda scary to think how difficult it is for everyone to get together.  Happy almost 14!!

Yep! We celebrated 14 on April 21... wow I'm getting old.

Well, my somewhat lack of activity on here is due to working on my undergrad degree.  Trying to be a chaplain in one of the armed forces.  The normal cutoff age is 42, but I was told that they are allowing much older people to sign up.  As it stands, I’ll be 42 on the dot when I meet all requirements... but now it seems I have a little wiggle room.  Which makes it a lot less stressful.

Finally decided on a new ride to carry my sticks. Was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had.

Just wanted to make it known:  my round last week... only took me 45 minutes.  That’s my style of golf.

Not on the color but it is the 5th Lincoln that I bought from the same dealership so they made it painless in terms of time and my wallet. The best car in my driveway is hidden in the picture and that one is white.

The intent was not to match the wife’s truck but I liked the dark look too much to say no. Even better is this is the second time we matched, we both drove silver Jeep’s at one point.

We looked at the new Lincoln’s during our last car shopping.  I lived the Lincoln but “WE” decided it was not for “US”.

I hope they do another Antares at night this year, I might even make the trip over to watch up close.

I’d also like to report that my Pokémon card shortage has come to an end.  I found the place to go... my kids are happy, the wife, and my wallet... probably not as happy.

MAybe one day I will head over and watch a launch.   Will have to see how cloudy it will be.  I think it is supposed to be windier too so it may get delayed again.

Every time we went to see a launch it was scrubbed so we believe we’re bad luck.

If sky is clear we can see the trail easily from our area.

I was there when that one blew up a few years ago.  It was pretty cool to see, but obviously a bit on the scary side.

I may have mentioned this before: A few years back, I worked at a company that supplied electrical/electronic parts for United Launch Alliance  in Decatur Al. that builds Saturn V rockets. Got a tour of the facility and we got to climb inside one. They also gave us a launch date for that particular rocket. It was a successful launch but watching it on TV can't be as impressive as seeing the launch in person.

I drive by a golf course almost every day (not my home course) and am so glad to see the number of push carts and walkers out there. What a change from pre-COVID times. I thought a lot of people might go back to golf carts, but, at least at this course, that is not the case. Nice to see!

I’m hoping it stays. I hate that mentality of weekend golf needs carts to keep pace.....yea it’s not keeping pace let me get my exercise in (never-mind my mental game is so much better walking). Local course still has “carts required” online but they aren’t enforcing which is good

I saw quite a few walkers out during my round on Saturday morning too. Pretty cool to see.

We’re a few week’s into baseball season and we had our third practice for Jackson tonight. I love his enthusiasm and excitement. Even after practice he wants to do more including racing me around the bases tonight.  I never have to tell him to be ready and he’s trying to hit it hard every time.  He’s already looking forward to his game on Saturday!
