Thanks for the welcome back! I've missed being here. Yes all is well. It's hot in TX but seems never too hot for golf. Just prepare well.

LOL, just reviewed my last posted MGS handicap. I went down to 16 and now back up to 18. Guess not much changes in the long run.

Welcome back.

Weather didn't keep me away, life did. I just couldn't keep up with everything. I've spent many hours on my parents home I inherited in another town. It ended up needing major repairs - had tub tile leak which flooded a bedroom; foundation issues - jack hammered 21 holes for pilings right through the middle of the house; which caused plumbing problems - had to tunnel under the house for replacement repairs, and now painting and cosmetic repairs top to bottom, one end to the other to get it on the market. Poor @downlowkeyhe's leasing the house from me and is patiently living through it. Takes a while, it's a big house, but can see light at the end - more fun times for golf!

Should have lost it years ago; harder to lose as you get older.  I've got maybe 15-20 more to lose.

I suggest look into an anti-inflammatory diet (rather life style change). I changed in the middle of last year for a hip pain but didn't know it would make me lose weight. It's been very easy and lost over 25lbs without trying. I read that they tested it on people with Type 2 Diabetes and most of those people are now off insulin.

I'm not on any kind of diet, and I'm not into sweet things.  I just cut back on how much I eat and watch when I eat it.  Also, doing intermittent fasting, basically one meal a day.  I don't know that I could have done that a few years ago, but now I really am not into food like I was.  I still like carbs though... tasty by golly!  😂

Had a great day with the family at six flags theme park today. Try to get out here once a year and in the past got season passes when they were reasonable and we could make it multiple times. Wife and I even went on our honeymoon on the way up to Niagara, we love roller coasters (son does now too).

we had a great day, no lines and road everything we wanted multiple times. This was the second year our son could ride “Superman” and was proud of himself for holding his hands up the whole time, it’s the Cadillac of coasters.

wrapped up the day with some slushees and he wanted to still hit football practice. Even gave him the option.

I have never been a big roller coaster fan.  My first time at Cedar Point in Ohio, when I rode the BIG coaster (don't remember the name), I was asked what I thought about the psychedelic light show in the tunnel... what tunnel?  😂  Apparently, I missed it.  So we had to do it again... and again... and again.  Then it wasn't so bad.

Would you be willing to share where someone could find out information on the anti-inflammatory diet?

I know someone who has hip pain, and also has put on a few pounds over the last couple years.
