I don't know how much educational learning he could give them, but if they ever wanted to get certified to scuba dive...he'd be perfectly qualified for the job.

I just finished up my last exam with a 98% for my undergraduate degree.  Baring a complete failure of the last writing assignment I should end up with an A.  
 

This has been a long, tiring, stressful, enjoyable, wonderful, and rewarding experience.  Something I thought I would never accomplish in life, but here I am, on the Dean’s list and graduating with a 4.0 GPA.

Mora of the story, it’s never too late, and you’re never too old to do things that you have been putting off.

Here’s some sparkling apple cider to celebrate.

Today was my last day at work until January 10th. After the last few weeks of working over and with all the changes here at home, it's going to be nice to be able to chill for a while. Plus, I haven't been able to get out and hit golf balls in the last 3 weeks and I'll be able to get out and both practice and play some over this time.

Played 5 v 5 basketball for the first time since my achilles surgery on February 10th, 2021.  I'm going to try and slowly get back to it during the next few months.  After it happened, I lost so much confidence in my leg and wasn't sure I'd feel comfortable at all.  I still have to be very careful, but I've had the OK from my doctor to do this for some time and finally gave it a go.

Well now that it is official I will share that I just got promoted in my current role to a senior role. Been with my current company for 6 years and its great to earn this without having to work 60 to 70 hour weeks, take no time off, and most importantly never take the 15 minute break to hit balls into the net. No real new responsibilities just maybe some more large scale projects. Looking forward to it.

My degree showed up today.  I am happy about that, but it isn’t as fulfilling as I thought, Even if it says Summa Cum Laude, in Samuel L. Jackson terms that means “Bad Mother… anyways…”

Congrats man!  That's fantastic.  Just make sure they let you out for a round or two in June

Congratulations Alan! I know you said it isn't as fulfilling as you thought, but it's a great reminder of how much hard work you put in and something to be proud of. I'm happy for you and glad to hear it came in!

Thanks.  It should help applying for a new program.  Now I just need a room that smells of Rich Mahogany and Leather-bound books.  With a real nice lamp and some N/A Scotchy Scottchy Scotch.
