tommc23
This is not an injury as it's more in the what ails ya type situation. With that said I'm heading in early this morning to get the results of my PSA (prostate) exam. I had the big "C" several years ago and all has been good up until six months ago when my PSA level showed a very slight increase. Since I had my prostate removed, I was hoping no bad cells were left behind. Ya'll pray that my test results today will show no further increase. The good thing about this place is we are all family and it gives a warm feeling knowing folks are thinking good thoughts. I'll post results when I return home later this morning.Let us know when you find out, hope it's good news. STUDque
Final update on my wrist injury: The wrist widget helped in everyday life but actually made me more sore that before. Since my wrist didn't hurt in daily life, I'm just rocking the Phiten since I like the way it looks. For some reason, a lot of people are curious about it so it's an interesting talking point. When it comes to playing, I've come up with a combo of profen, athletic tape, then the wrist widget ratcheted down. Played 2 rounds like this and have felt virtually no pain (including post round). I feel like I've found my solution until my wrist is 109% again. As to the cause? I'm still not sure. I'm fairly in tune with my body and am tying the pain up to an origin at my elbow or possibly shoulder that just runs down. It's probably a combination of clicking/typing, golf, and remnants of TJ from my baseball days. I'll still play throughout the winter but the playing slow down should give the rest I need. AH1980MN
A physical therapist could probably nail down what's causing the problem and give you a treatment plan- if you type for work this should be covered... You're probably right. We're still paying off the hospital bills from my 2nd daughter's birth so I was trying my best to hang on until that's done before I add anything new (and possibly fix it on my own). We're nowhere near our deductible for 2017 so there's no advantage to hurry up and do it. STUDque
Was deciding between the happy thread and this thread for this comment. I played a full 18 today with no tape, no wrist widget, and NO PAIN. (but still the Phiten for power) Whoop it feels good. It's been between 3-4 months of soreness with every swing. Tell you what, my ball striking thanked my wrist for getting its act together. I've been hitting some funky shots lately with my wrist all wrapped up. gaussman1
I know one exists but I'm too out of it to search. Bad news- Shoulder pain that would not respond to cortisone injections or therapy. Good news was no rotator cuff damage! Large bone spur was pressing on the rotator cuff when I raised my arm and causing all sorts of pain. Doc shaved that down and told my wife he cleaned up the labrum too. Said joint showed lots of use but rotator cuff looked good. Should be bionic man by mid March! Day 1 post op is awfully painful though. Nerve block has worn off so today is a full dose of hydrocodone, try not to move and hope to sleep. Really optimistic about an early recovery and full, pain free season Sent from my Pixel XL using MyGolfSpy mobile app Rickp, ole gray and fozcycle 3 Quote Rogue SZ 10.5 *NEW* Fujikura Pro Green 65 X Rogue 15 degree Evnflow Blue 6.5 Back in the Bag Z765 4-G Nippon Modus 120 Stiff 54 and 60 Amazing Grace Ass Kicker
