STUDque 11,873
I re-upped on the wrist power. Went for white this time since it's summer. My kids love tugging on my bracelet so the old one got stretched out. Still, I'm glad I got it. Not sure if it helps the wrist pain but I've been able to wear it 24/7 (including showers) and it hasn't gotten on my nerves so Also, I spotted a wrist widget in the wild today. A lady in the pro shop was rocking a gray one before heading out for her round. She had a pretty good idea of wearing a wristband under it. That was my biggest gripe while I wore it: the Velcro edges were uncomfortable on my dainty skin. Luckily, I haven't had to go back to wearing one yet this year even though I've been smashing range balls like a madman. Glftips 33
It is good to see the many guys are recovering from some nasty injuries. I am having back problems and now getting shots and chiropractic care. I am 73 and still in good shape and have a 4 cap. I have shot my age a few times at 71 and 72 but the back is not working and golf has not been much fun. I do not want any surgery as I have had too many..maybe 7 on my left leg, both knees replaced, prostate cancer, open heart and gall bladder. I was wounded twice in combat as a Marine officer in Vietnam and am 100% disabled by the VA. Golf has been important in my life as I played professionally (mini tours) when I was young and still have my card. I am still in the golf business but I am afraid my playing days might be coming to an end. 2 Quote Titleist TS 3 with Fuji Ventus R shaft Epic Flash 3 & 5 woods Cally Big Berta 2019 4 hybrid Cally Apex 2019 5-PW Cally 48* Honma TW4 56* Titleist Volker Raw wedge 60* Scotty Cameron X5 putter
MattF 9,944
I'm out for a couple of days. Seems as though the drive to Indy and back aggravated something caused by the heavy lifting at Lowes. The Doctor seems to think I have some nerve inflammation in the L1 nerves that go into the groin. Very painful to walk and laying down and getting up from bed is a bit of a nightmare as it also affects the pubic region (not the nads you clowns, the area above it). They took x-rays of my lower back to check for a herniated disc as well and sent me home with Percocets and steroids. 3 Quote In the bag: Driver: TSi2 Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 6.0 Fairway: 939X 15° Project X Even Flow Blue 6.0 Hybrid: TBA Irons: D7 Forged 4-GW Project X Catalyst 80 6.0 Wedge: Smartsole S Putter Tracy Bag: Alpha Convoy 514 Balls: MTB-X or Black Cart: CaddyLite ONE Ver. 8 God Bless America, God save the Queen, God defend New Zealand and thank Christ for Australia! MattF 9,944
OK, so, another kick to the plums was apparently in order. X-ray revealed degenerative disc disease of the L5-S1. That's why I have lower back pain quite a bit and why long drives leave me worse for wear. Annnd, just for s#$ts and giggles, they saw a large calcium deposit but can't tell if it's in my kidney or not...but I'll say not because I have no symptoms at all of kidney stones. But to "be on the safe side" I have to get an ultrasound and blood test tomorrow...hope I'm not pregnant! 2 Quote In the bag: Driver: TSi2 Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 6.0 Fairway: 939X 15° Project X Even Flow Blue 6.0 Hybrid: TBA Irons: D7 Forged 4-GW Project X Catalyst 80 6.0 Wedge: Smartsole S Putter Tracy Bag: Alpha Convoy 514 Balls: MTB-X or Black Cart: CaddyLite ONE Ver. 8 God Bless America, God save the Queen, God defend New Zealand and thank Christ for Australia!
