Driving irons anyone?

Recommended Posts

... Yup, my miss with a wood like hybrid is an unintended draw. Although that is my fault not the design of the club. Something about a wood looking head can occasionally inspire me to swing a little harder than I should, but that isn't the case with a DI.

... And if you are looking to experiment, the Wilson FG Tour can be found brand new for under $100. Before I started playing the Cobra Utility, the Wilson was my favorite and I really like the stock Kuro Kage hy shaft. Good luck in your search.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but those Miura clubs don't really have a "premium" look to them. I'm sure they feel amazing but the markings and graphics remind me more of "arts and crafts" than "samurai."

I guess I just expect expensive clubs to deliver on appearance and performance at equally high levels.

No bells and whistles. Just a solid piece of steel. No crappy graphics. Take a Camaro it has some plastic to make it look “faster”, performance is ok to good. Porsche... has stuff that makes it faster, but you can't see it. Performance is amazing.

I've yet to hit them. But I bet they don't need that plastic to let you know they are good.

With the one in the picture, I don't disagree. If it was just the regular all black paint fill with a little gold, we might have to start messaging to keep others out of it 😉

... I will take all the bells and whistles I can get if it 1. improves the performance and 2. is not visible at address. I really could not care less what is in the cavity or on the sole. Neither does my ball or my scorecard.   ;)

I'll agree to all of that. Especially the at address part.
